Wow!!
This is a seriously good turntable. Looks and sounds amazing. After quite a bit of research I opted for audio technica and this model in particular because I love the glossy piano black look and classic minimalist design. More importantly the reviews across the board are 5 stars. It is fully manual and belt driven. No gimmicks at all. Very well packaged, quick and easy to set up. Look on YouTube for help to balance the tonearm etc. Up and running in no time. Replacement for a classic black Dual turntable which it really reminds me of. Arrived well within 24 hrs of ordering. Great price and the option for interest free payment by installments a bonus. Looking forward to revisiting lots of old albums. Just starting with Tangerine Dream. Superb!

Nice
Took some time to decide which turntable to go for! This one came out on top as it had everything I needed, decent cartridge & stylus, phono preamp built in and carbon tonearm. Set up is simple and it looks great. The sound quality is excellent, and I can't fault it. If this is your price bracket £329.00 (as it was for me) then this is probably the best option by a long way. Highly recommended, but look online & Youtube for reviews if you are in doubt.

Decent for the price, but you can get more sound for your money elsewhere
If this is your first look in to vinyl, or even if you want something that is decent and looks great, this is a great option. Build quality isn't bad and is decent in some areas. In terms of the sound: just to get this out of the way first, the in-built phono is not very good. Ideally, you would use an external phono stage to get a bit more out of this. The cartridge that this comes with isn't a problem on its own. What I mean by that is, I tried this very same cartridge that this comes with, on the Rega Planar 1 and the latter gives better performance overall. Especially in the bass. I swapped out the cartridge on this AT with a Goldring E3 and got better results, but it still couldn't match the slightly more expensive Rega Planar 1 (even with the Rega's provided 3600l cartridge). This leads me on to my point that, there is more to the sound than just the cartridge alone. The tonearm also does a lot of the grunt in terms of sound, so that is in fact more important than the cartridge itself. The RP1 proves that to be a fact and is a much better tonearm than on this one. The LPW50 has a decent tonearm but I would rate the sound overall 7/8-10, where as I would rate the sound on a stock RP1 as 9/10. You mileage may vary here and if you don't find yourself nit-picking sound, you could be very happy with this unit. Using my own phono stage I don't hear any static/hum when not playing, which I did a little bit on the RP1. So it is all pros and cons but for myself I might upgrade to the RP2.

Great turntable
I'm amazed that this turntable doesn't get more reviews. It's a very beautiful thing to have on display and, on top of that, it sounds superb. I have upgraded the stylus to the AT-VMN95ML and the sound is as good as anything I've ever heard. I am using the Rega MM phono preamp Mk4.

Brilliant.
I bought this as an upgrade. I initially had a Rega P1 but, even when I upgraded the cartridge to a Bias2, it just never sounded right. This turntable is excellent: excellent build quality, excellent value, and most importantly, excellent sound. This is a far superior product to the Rega decks. Build quality alone on this compared to the P2 (a friend has that model) is far superior, right down to the tiny rubber dampeners on the dust cover. I was skeptical that it would make much difference sound wise but it packs a huge punch. The imaging is better, as is the definition. The bottom end is punchier and the top end is brighter with the sound overall being a lot warmer. It can handle high volume too. The P1 suffered from bass feedback at volume over 70 but this went right up to max and didn’t miss a beat. Excellent piece of kit.

Dogs Bollocks
I don’t have a bad word to say about this turn table for this price range it’s the best going I researched for quite sometime and decided on this , great sound, great look, easy set up from a YouTube video. Let there be Rock 🤘 And Jazz, and Hip Hop and prog and Afro beat and blues and folk and indie and .....

Not disapointed
Was looking for turn table for a long time and did a bit of research where i had mixed reviews but decided not to overspend on first turn table and not get disappointed with this one. Looking great, sounds nice what else do you need. Only one negative aspect is that lacquer finish can be easy scratched

Fantastic turntable and a massive step up from the Project Primary E it is replacing.

Record player is easy to install. It has beautiful looks. It plays my records as I have never heard before (formerly I had Dual and Thorens players). I strongly recommend this A.T !!!!

It looks stunning and is beautifully finished. The controls and everything feel solid & well made. I changed to cartridge to AT Shibata cartridge, very easy to do. The sound is good, realistically I couldn't hear a difference with the new cartridge - maybe it's my old ears. Great price / performance combination. Way better than the Rega P1 which is very shoddily / cheaply put together. Highly recommend.
