Brilliantly designed, but open to those pesky starlings!
My previous seed feeder was the caged anti-squirrel type. It successfully kept away all but the small birds, but the feed got wet when it rained, it rusted up and was very difficult to clean. This feeder keeps the feed completely dry in all weathers, doesn't rust, and is very easy to clean. But unlike with the anti-squirrel feeder, with this one the starlings can get at the food. And they are really messy feeders, strewing onto the lawn several times as much as they eat! So much so, that now, in the nesting season, I have to fill the container twice in a day - and it's a really large container! Perhaps the geniuses who designed this could come up with a solution!

Brilliant feeder but
Birds absolutely love this feeder! Goldfinches, tits, greenfinches, and even a chaffinch have been eating from it.And here comes the BUTunfortunately sparrows have taken over it, and even starlings are having a good munch. Such a shame, that's not the "selective feeding" I was hoping for :)

Well designed feeder
I never, ever, thought I would spend £50 on a bird feeder, but, every winter I waste so much sunflower heart seed in the normal open mesh feeders as it gets wet and mouldy before the birds eat it.This feeder keeps the seed dry within the container and where the seed drops down is easy to remove and clean without disturbing the rest of the seed. Within 2 hours of putting the feeder up a blue tit was on it and within a day some finches. The number of birds in the garden is quite low at the moment, but this is normal and it usually gets busier in the summer.A very well designed feeder which the birds seem to have accepted. My only gripe is why, for the price, they couldn’t have provided a hanging ring for it.

Not as easy as it looks
This feeder proves very difficult to undo ! Birds took over 6 weeks to actually realise how to use it. There is no second adaption to wash like advertised in the video and had no feed back from client to having it replaced !! Works nicely though now the birds are using it

Small birds love it, big ones don't 👍
Excellent bird feeder, bit expensive but worth it. We have starlings that don't like it, they have to expend much energy trying to get the food, so they just give up 👍 They have other food in a different area. Pigeon's have no chance. Small birds no problem, just be careful how much you allow to drop through onto the feeder tray 👌

It works
We lost part of our feeder in the recent high winds. I contacted the company and they supplied a replacement part. How sensible it means we didn't have to create more plastic waste and we can carry on using the feeder. Thank you very much I can certainly recommend this feeder and company.

Beautifully engineered, pity the little birds here do not like it
I really loved this idea and therefore bought this one. Having spotted a bird at it, I then bought the next one up with the two sections. Now I have two expensive feeders and no birds using them. I would blame the seed mix I am using but other feeders containing this mix are emptied very quickly. UPDATE - the local sparrows have now discovered them and use them a lot, so I am hoping other little birds will cotton on and come along too.

A great product made in the UK
Update- the feeders have encouraged a wide range of birds to the feeding station. Today I have had Great, Blue, Coal and Longtail tits; Chaf, Green and Goldfinches; sparrows clearing up underneath alongside the usual feral and wood pigeons. Collar doves (way too big but this doesn't stop them trying) are sitting on the top, as does the Robin (he is close to cracking it) trying to work out how to get to the food. Later a pair of Siskins and a Blackcap showed up which we sometimes see in the garden but never on previous feeders we have owned.I took the opportunity between feeding waves to close the shoots, remove the bottoms and give them a clean which was very easy. All in all, I am so pleased with the investment. Great design that will encourage me to clean the feeders more regularly.Well made. Well packaged. Easy to install. Large capacity means less frequent filling needed. Finches and tits took to it straight away. Worth the cost.
