I usually pick up cheap notebooks of a similar shape at my grocery store, but they were out of stock. I went to Amazon and bought this little humdinger. It’s smaller than the basic notepads I usually get for making the weekly grocery list, but it’s surprisingly sturdy. As I shop, there is usually some point at which the list gets wet — especially among the produce, the frozen or refrigerated sections, or at a hand sanitizer station. With the old cheap notebook, it then became very flimsy, started ripping and tearing, dissolved into transparency. It wasn’t a huge deal because I threw the list away eventually (after I had brought it home and transferred the unavailable items to a new list for the following week). But even so, this sweet notepad reminded me how paper is supposed to be. It’s lovely, thick, sturdy, doesn’t change drastically with splashes of water or hand sanitizer here or there. The cover is a slick, sturdy board. Overall it’s a micro luxury. I will skip the grocery store notepads and buy this again next time.

I like that these are smaller than the standard 8 by 11 notebooks. However the price seems to be a bit much for something so small. Is the cost of paper going up with the price of lumber these days, as lumber has doubled!!?But it's good paper so I cant complain about the product. The ink of my Bic pens transfers smoothly to the paper, and there is no ink bleed thru to the rear of the paper. Would purchase again.

After using the original Ampad Gold Fibre Writing Pads for years, I was not pleased by the changes that Tops made when they took over production. The Tops version had problems including pages that were stuck together and would not separate at the top wire binding without tearing. However, Tops seems to have made changes to their process so that the pages — at least for this new version with white pages — can separate without tearing. The white paper is much better than the substituted “ivory” pages. So, although I am still disappointed that I cannot purchase the original Ampad Gold Fibre Writing Pads with high-quality ivory paper, the new version with the white paper (not the Tops ivory paper) is a functional and acceptable substitute.

I am a paper snob and I love this pad. I have purchased this three times. The first two times, the paper was a nice ivory color, but it's since been changed to white. That's fine but I did like the ivory just because it was easy on the eyes. I had to return the most recent one because the wire had been mangled in shipping and didn't flip the paper. But other than that this is an amazing pad. Love it!!!

*****typically I use a steno pad to write my notes, make lists, etc. I have been increasingly disappointed with the quality of the covers, as I often do not have a firm writing surface. I knew by the item description that this pad is a bit smaller than a steno, but Ampad has never let me down regarding quality! the covers are VERY FIRM, and allow for writing on the pad without having a table- (or desk-) top surface.*****

Material de calidad. Lo único malo es que no puedo quitarle la etiqueta que tiene en la portada, pero no es algo que me importe tanto. Llegó en tiempo y forma.

Spiral binding is excellent - easy to flip pages and write. The paper is excellent quality and it looks as good as advertised.
