Dotspen, Black

I have always been drawn (not a pun) to pointellism, but due to an injury unable to do it myself. Here's freedom in a pen. At first, straight out of the box, I thought it was less than I had hoped for, it seemed a little weak, but once I charged it fully and had a play it was brilliant. My best advice is to get it at an angle and distance where it sounds a little like a cat purring and it's perfect. Even without this fine tuning it is a joy to create with, once you get the hang of the speed it is possible to create dashes, lines and perfectly spaced dots as well as the shading. It is a calming and addictive process and hard to put down once you have hit 'the zone' using it. Also much cheaper on Amazon than other sites. Treat yourself!

Only had this pen a month and it was great - however, had to change the ink cartridge today, followed the instructions perfectly and yet the red piece that holds the cartridge in place has either come loose or broke - i don’t know what’s gone wrong, all I know is it’s no longer working and I’m absolutely gutted.I barely had enough money to purchase this in the first place so for it to have broke and for me, to seemingly, not be able to fix it.. it’s become such a waste of money which is a shame because I absolutely LOVED the pen.

Unfortunately I must say I ordered this pen and I was so exited to use it but after few days the component inside the pen stopped working. For this high price I would expect from it to work. Its rubbish. I asked the company for refund but still it have not been resolved. Waste of money

I do stipple art and thought this might move things along a bit as it takes me about four or five months to complete a portrait. This pen is really good it takes some getting used to as it’s constantly vibrating it looks like a small electric pneumatic drill when working. The inks are very good nice and black and very dark you can also get a limited number of coloured inks. It’s easy to get used to and it does a fairly good job. The only problem I have with it it’s not very subtle. It’s very difficult to vary the marks .when using a tiny nibbled micron pen the marks can be lightened and put down smaller than the nib of the pen. unfortunately you will struggle trying to get the same effect with this pen. What it is good for is big dark areas such as hair clothing shadows etc. So it does has its uses. Another problem I have with it is when you start to traverse the paper with the pen it takes a lot of practice not to leave lots of tiny lines and strokes instead of dots. I do use the pen every time I do a portrait but as I have said mainly for background darks and shadow areas. It’s a great tool for anyone who wants to try stippling I wish I had had one when I started.

This was a Christmas present for my wife who is an artist. She has been using it for two days and has found it easy to use and is able to draw pictures using the dots. She is certainly very glad to have it.

Absolutely love this pen,I did think about spending this amount of money,but worth every bit.I love drawing and this had brought a new dimension to drawing.The company have been very helpful, with there own Facebook page.I am looking forward to when the coloured ink is available in the UK.On a full charge I find I can work for a full 20 - 30 minutes.

This is a fantastic product, if you love to draw but have difficulty holding a pencil because of wrist or hand pain, this let you get creative again. You can't rush it but the result is very enjoyable, more like a new art form, unlike computer art this is your work . waiting for coloured inks please.

I’ve owned this pen for just under a year and has served me very well throughout consistent usage and long drawing sessions, I have created so much more work since owning it and helps so much with my work load as an artist, it’s easy to use, comfortable and definitely helped with repetitive strain injury and arthritis.Unfortunately, the charge port didn’t last very long and now won’t charge unless it is pulled back quite forcefully. You also cannot open the top of the pen to try and fix/replace the port.

I absolutely love this pen. It has four different color inks that are easily changed. If you are intostippling, this is the pen for you. I received the pen in good order and in a timely manner and Iam very satisfied with its performance. I have already completed four drawings. Definitelywould recommend it.The only drawback that I can think of is the battery life. It only lasts approx. 30 minutes in thebattery mode. Most of my use is done with the USB connection. If you want to use it away fromyour computer, the USB cable is only approx. 30 inches, meaning if you want to use it foran extended period, you must work fairly close to your computer. You could also get a USB hubthat has a longer cable if your drawing area is not near your computer.

Der erste bestellte Stift wollte leider nicht was ich wollte- aber Kommunikation war hervorragend und es wurde umgehend ein Zweiter als kostenloser Ersatz verschickt. Dieser funktioniert einwandfrei und kam sogar mit einem kleinen handgeschriebenen Brief daher. Jederzeit wieder und Danke Margaret

mia madre, disegnatrice amante del puntinismo, aveve perso la vista a fare cartelloni pieni di puntini...con la penna è tutto più facile. precisa e poco rumorosa, la consiglio, ne vale la pena
