What sticks to frozen metal?
What sticks to frozen metal? YES, your lip!! You have to let it sit out about 15 minutes before using it. Not impressed, I'm sending it back.

Great cup
Love this cup! The stainless steel looks great and the cooling gel keep the cup very cold. Comfortable to hold. It’s a good looking gift worthy cup. Very much recommend!

Great Sipper
This is a good whisky (or any drink) cup that will keep a drink cool for several hours (if needed). The cup is a good size and the rubber base makes it easy and comfortable to hold. Place the cup in the freezer for a couple hours or more (face down) and remove and let sit for fifteen or more minutes prior to use to allow the medal part of the cup to warm enough in order to keep lips from sticking to the cup (briefly, but annoyingly). Aside from that minor caution, this is an excellent item for those who don't want ice dilution or chilling stones and enjoy sipping chilled spirits.

Nice cup that keeps my drink cool
First, this cup is very sturdy and solid while not being too heavy. After a couple of hours in the freezer it was able to keep my drink cool, but not as cold as if I had used ice cubes. However, it is a great alternative if you don't want your drink getting watered down from melted ice. I found that it definitely maintains the taste of my drink while keeping it relatively cool so I can enjoy "neat" bourbons and whiskeys that are also cool rather than room temperature. I love the rubber base as it adds a non slip surface while making it easier to hold as well. The rubber does get a little stiff right out of the freezer but it is still grippy. I can definitely see it working great with a mixed drink that U made in a shaker full of ice and poured directly into this right out of the freezer. Had it gotten my room temp bourbon drink very cold just from pouring it into the cup, I'd have probably gone with 5 stars, but I will definitely use this and I think it would make a great gift for the bourbon/whiskey drinker.

Great whiskey glass!
This is a great little whiskey cup! It is super sturdy and has a great quality rubber base on it. If you shake it around you can hear the internal cooling gel sloshing around inside the walls. I placed it in the freezer overnight and was looking forward to my first use! I filled it up with a room temperature whiskey and at first it didn't seem like it was going to cool it down without adding ice or whiskey stones to it but after being patient and waiting a little longer it did indeed cool it down quite nicely and kept it cool the entire time until it was gone. On my second use, I used a prechilled whiskey and it was a much more enjoyable glass. It was quite a bit colder since it didn't have to work as hard to cool it down at the start. I would definitely recommend using a prechilled whiskey for an optimal experience. It's definitely a cup I would purchase again!

Takes your drinking to the next level. Cold drinks without any dilution. If you sip liquor get this!
I'm mostly a beer guy. Sometimes though I enjoy bourbon, vodka, and scotch (separately, not together as that'd be gross and waste of good liquor). When I drink those liquors I like them cold.Ice is the old standard for cooling a drink but as it melts the water dilutes your drink and changes its flavor profile NOT for the better. I've tried whiskey stones but they never quite get my drink as cold as ice and they have their weird chalky residue thing that is food safe but is annoying and a bit disconcerting to see. This hits all the right points. It works even better if you pre-chill your liquor. A lot of stainless steel cups can go in the fridge but not the freezer so they won't work. Since this can handle those lower freezer temperatures, this glass is heads and shoulders above the rest.Pro-Tip even with chilled bourbon or scotch when avoiding ice, add a drop of water to your chilled liquor in this glass to unlock many more notes within the flavor profile.

Great for keeping cold drinks cold or chilling room-temp ones
I bought the Host Whiskey FREEZE Pro Cup for Bourbon to use for drinking my and bourbon and flavored whiskey, which I keep in the freezer. I like my peanut butter whiskey ice cold, but I really don't like watering it down when ice melts (same with my bourbon), so I had hopes for this cup.I already had 2 sets of 2 of the HOST Freeze Cooling Cups for Whiskey (the acrylic ones, which are a bit cheaper), which I have used for the last year and really like. So, when I had the opportunity to test the Pro cup made of stainless steel, I jumped on it. My first test was Glenfiddich 12-year, which I keep at room temp. I like to drink scotch neat (or a single ice cube), as I do not like good scotch watered-down. I poured a few ounces into the frozen cup and waited a few minutes. On the first sip, the scotch was quite cold. I put my finger in the cup, and the liquid was very cold. This kept my scotch icy cold for the whole time I was sipping it (around 25 minutes). My second test was Kurvball BBQ Whiskey (literally tastes like alcoholic BBQ sauce), which is surprisingly enjoyable as a sipping liquor. I fired up a cigar and poured my ice-cold Kurvball and sat down for a nice smoke. The Host Whiskey FREEZE Pro Cup kept my drink really cold for 30 minutes, and cooler than room-temp for another 30, so that's all I expected, considering there is no sippy-cup-like cover on the top to better insulate. The construction of this is stainless steel with a nice silicone insulator on the bottom, which is nice for holding onto the cup without freezing your hands or warming up the liquid. I like the stainless, as it is indestructible, where I am careful not to drop the acrylic ones I have, as frozen acrylic would shatter for sure. The cost of this glass is about $2 more than the cost of the acrylic one (though an acrylic 2-pack, which I bought, is only an extra $4). So, this is worth the money, and I'd suggest to the company that they offer a 2-pack of the these at a good price, as most would probably buy these in two's at least for me, I don't like to drink alone).I dinged the "giftable" review part 2 stars because it comers packaged in a simple cardboard wrapper around it. This reduces waste, but it is not really "gift-looking", and is a lot harder to wrap as a gift. But, I still rate this as 5 stars, because it is true quality and a good value.
