This book gives an alternate view of Islam for the Westerner. The photographs are wonderful, the writing interesting and interspersed throughout is a respect and gratitude for the horse, the people who have preserved the breed and cared for it, and the land which nurtured it -- all through the Islamic heart. I enjoyed it.

This is a truly beautiful book, with wonderful pictures of Arabian horses from all around the world. I like it a lot, although please expect it as a picture book rather than true informative book. But anyway I like it a lot.

This book is beautifully photographed. Reading about Arabian horses opens an alternate window into Arab, particularly bedu, culture. As this book shows, much of this breed's traits are due to its long association with human settlement. Enjoyable and interesting read.
