Wicked Costumes Adult Roman Helmet w/Feathers Fancy Dress Hat Accessory

Needed Roman soldier helmets for a nativity play. The children ones available looked really tacky and a bright gold that didn’t look remotely realistic! Tried this with the hope that it might be OK, and it was perfect. Made of plastic but sprayed to look like metal, it was light and easy to wear for the children and just needed a little extra padding inside to make it a good fit for them. Detachable feather section for easy storage. Couldn’t be happier!

Surprisingly effective helmet for a reasonable price. Looked great as part of a roman centurion outfit. Would recommend.Only downside is that you can't adjust the size and the top feather section is sort of clipped on and CAN come off if knocked too hard, but probably fine.

It looks good and I received positive compliments about it for a fancy dress night. But it seems designed for a mannequin rather than a moving human. I had modify it and add a chin strap just to keep it upright and on my head.

Much better than the initial fabric helmet we bought. This is awesome and looked just the ticket for our sons nativity play (we did have to add padding though but he is only 8)

Many people complained about the top feathered section of the helmet being loose. I wrapped a small clear elastic band on the pegs that slot into the holders, put it into place and then wrapped another onto the bottom inside the helmet. It made this part very secure so doesn't move in the slightest. I'm a hairdresser so had the elastics to hand but they can be purchased in the £ store too. Another complaint was how flimsy the helmet was but it seems pretty sturdy to me for what it is so I'm quite happy with it. Definitely recommend for a Roman costume!

This helmet looks very good for the priceThe feathers on top were a bit irregular, and a few fell out, but the overall effect looked good.It became a bit uncomfortable after wearing it for about 2 hours, and that was with a thin wooly hat underneath (which I recommend).I like how the front visor part is adjustable.I got a lot of compliments for wearing it.
