A jewel for $400
I've been using the smartphone for almost a month and I keep my initial criteria: This terminal is a beauty, it's a jewel! Note that this is the Prime version - 32GB and the first thing I did was configure it to my taste and disable a few apps that I don't use.PROS:- It looks and feels so premium.- Perfect size. Very comfortable feeling when you hold it with one hand.- Even though it has the Snapdragon 821 and not the 835 but it's really fast and fluid all the time (despite the Amazon bloatware).- The 3 cameras (only for day or with good lighting at night) take excellent and impressive photos (comparable with S8/8+).- The fingerprint sensor is fast and it does not sound weird like the LG G5. It has unlock by facial recognition.- It's water resistant.- Initially there were complaints about resolution 18:9 but today you can find more apps with support for this resolution.CONS:- The front camera is bad (the front camera of the LG G5 is much better).- The night photos are not so good.In summary, this terminal is a little gem (in my opinion).

Pretty amazing phone
All in all I enjoy using the phone. There are a few things I dislike. For starters the low light pictures seem to get a bit grainy and blurred but my last phone didn't even make out pictures (the camera made it very dark) in that level of lighting to be fair. I also dislike that I do not have an app drawer, not sure if that has anything to do with Amazon as looking for a solution online proved that one was available and you had to enable it but I could not enable it as it was not there. I also dislike that I cannot see what background processes are running but the battery life is pretty good so that doesn't bother me much. Alright so that's it for dislikes. Now for what I like?****The camera quality is amazing!**** Photos come out great and the wide angle view is literally so useful.****Performance**** I usually have a problem with phones keeping up with me but the LG G6 does this with little issue. One problem that occurs is when opening the phone with the finger print scanner there is a 1/3 of a second gap between loading the app 100%. However this is among the fastest phones I have ever used.****The screen size**** The screen size allows for multi-window use (keeping two apps open) and is big enough to feel wowed but comfortable enough to use with one hand.****The sleek premium design**** Have you seen this phone? Enough said. The platinum color covered in glass. The antenna lines, the finger print scanner, the placement of the buttons. Everything works along well with each other to give you this sort of contrasting smooth look.****The battery life**** I am on my phone all day. I literally play clash of clans every moment I get. The battery life is good enough to get me through the day with around 20-40%. Considering I am playing games on it all the time, that's pretty good. The screen quality is great as well but this area tends to be less of a focus for me.

A lateral move from a Note 5... couldn't be happier!
I broke my Note 5!!!!So I replaced it (for a LOT less then the cost of the Note 8) with the LG G6 and I am very happy with the decision. I also in the process dropped AT&T like a bad habit and am running on TING.This phone has a battery that lasts the day, performance that lets me play the games I want and capabilities to do pretty much anything you can do on a smartphone these days. I LOVE the back button... no clue why more phones aren't designed this way. Also the fingerprint reader on the back button is super fast (don't forget to enroll two fingers from different hands... just in case). I am very happy with the better/newer screen ratio of 18:9, it makes a difference when playing game that work in horizontal mode vs verticle. The call clarity is good, as well as the external speaker. I appreciate USB-C connectivity more then other USB connectors... it's universal ... just plug it in!

Phone arrived USED and LOCKED... I can not use
Phone sold as 'new' but has been used and is locked. Box from LG had been opened the security sticker on the bottom was cut prior to arrival, the bezel was dirty, the 'screen sticker' was not applied well (seemed to have been removed/reapplied). And most importantly I started the phone and got a notice saying something to the affect"This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device."Well as this was supposed to be a 'new' phone there would not have been any 'previously synced' accounts. This was supposed to be a quick fix for me as my s5 died suddenly after 5 plus years of heavy abuse. I am normally very happy with things I get from Amazon. But sending a 'used' phone that was labeled as new... Not cool. Still no phone and now what?
