Slightly Longer than advertised
I knew it would be a tight fit when I ordered it but the dimensions given in the advert did not seem to allow for bar when it is fully assembled. However, as I am quite handy I was able to adjust the bar to fit. Please bear in mind this had to be done in my workshop and required a hacksaw and electric drill plus a nut and bolt replace the riveted bar I had to drill out. Other than that the bar looks good on a white door and does the job it was intended for.

Sturdy and we certainly can't get in from the outside
Brilliant bit of kit, it is very strong at holding this sliding door closed, we've both gone outside to try and get it with the door unlocked, but this left down in locking position, we just can't, and it certainly add that piece of mind with it in, never do we go to sleep without this in the locked position

Does the job
I was a little bit sceptical about this, and agree with another reviewer that the bar is rather slender - but then it needs to be in order to fit behind a sliding door! Installation was fairly straightforward (mounted at mid-level as a visible deterrant), and now that it's on it looks like it has always been there.

Easy to fit, stylish and functional. Keeps the kids out.
This was fitted by me with nothing but a Dremel and a screwdriver in ten minutes. It does indeed work on our crappy 1970s outside sliding door and I think it looks like a stylish addition.Anyway, it does the job. None of my children have been able to get back in the house for 8 days now, so five stars.

Slimmer than I imagined. I am returning because i feel it does not look great having it dangle. Sorry can’t be more helpful

Easy to install and does exactly what it says on the tin!

Don’t waste your money.
Don’t order. Really wouldn’t stop anyone breaking in to your home. Unless you have a specific style patio door you can’t fit this item. Mine has a groove on the sliding door and there’s nothing for it to attach to. You also need to screw in to the actual patio door and frame and I doubt very much it would hold and stop an intruder. I sent back for a full refund.
