I have a number of shelves similar to this one, but a different brand with wheels. The instructions are useless, but we have so many of this type shelf, assembly was a breeze. For each level, you use two clips that have to be in the correct orientation. The clips are marked so you know which end is up. Once you have the bottom shelf in place, count the grooves on the side posts to position the clips for the next shelf. Once you have the clips in place, put the shelf over them and either push down hard or pound the shelf down with a rubber hammer.I grow all of our veggies in our basement and needed a small shelving unit to store my fertilizers and soil additives. I had been keeping them on the floor and this wasn't working well. This shelf is perfect for storage of these items and keeps them off the floor. In fact, I was so impressed that I ended up buying it not just once, but twice!The first thing that caught my attention was the build quality. After watching the videos, it was easy to assemble. I started by putting the four corner posts together on the floor, then sliding the bottom shelf into place, and turning it upright, then adding the remaining shelves. It helps to calculate exactly where you want the shelves to go, and sliding them on carefully to make sure the clips don't come apart. I also placed the bottom shelf higher off the ground to create a 6th space on the floor. I also chose this size because it can fit three "banker's" boxes side-by-side per shelf, so 18 total with the floor space.

Overall, I really like this shelving unit. It's very sturdy, and the perfect size for my needs -- I measured carefully before ordering, and am really pleased with its size, sturdiness, form and function. What I am not pleased with is the extra puzzle they included free with purchase, which was laughing entitled "Assembly Instructions." If it were not for another reviewer here on Amazon, I may have ended up returning it. Not only are the assembly directions picture only, they fail to include pictures of the most important aspect of the assembly. Okay, here it is: You take two halves of the included plastic circle pieces, each marked with an up arrow and the word top. So, pointing the top up, you can encircle the leg of the shelf at the height you wish. Lightly push these two pieces together, and slide up or down until you hear it click into place. One leg is done. Do all four legs at the same height, and place the first shelf. Repeat for each shelf. When done, you will have a handsome, sturdy, useful shelf.

I love love love this thing!!! It's SO easy to put together. The first time it took me a little over an hour because I had to find the instruction video lol but the second time took 30 mins. It holds so much stuff and so much weight! I don't know what else to say about it lol it's a shelving unit! I love that I can make the shelves whatever height I want.What I don't particularly like is that the little nuggets that go into the notches to hold up the shelves are a bit flimsy. Not when the shelf is put together, but they're flimsy when putting the shelf together, and it makes putting it together a bit challenging when you don't want to count the notches. (If this was confusing, it'll make more sense when you buy it). Don't let that complaint deter you from buying it. It's not actually a big deal. The unit is still absolutely amazing.More colors would be incredible. Blue, green, red, beige, brown, purple... all that! I would want one in every room in my home lol.You absolutely should buy this.

For some context, I'm a full-time musician (drummer), and I have a lot of equipment. I recently got this for my storage which created a lot more space to work with.It was easy to put together by myself. Just don't do what a lot of us do and briefly skim the instructions. They're simple, and point out the actual correct way to build it. Not the way where you have to go back two steps because you did something wrong. It'll just save you a little bit of time. Otherwise easy to assemble alone.It's sturdy, but I did make sure it's not top-heavy just to be safe. We get those pesky earthquakes occasionally. I was able to fit quite a bit on there as you can see, and I still have room for more snare drums I'm totally not gonna buy...It's pretty basic, and does the job required of it no problem. If you need shelves made of wire, this is a great product to get.

Nice shelf, should have thought of this a long time ago., Very easy to assemble.No tools needed, took 15 minutes. Like how tall it is and the width is perfect.May get another one different size for canned goods etc... It is fairly lightweightonce you get a few heavy objects on it becomes steady. Like the chrome as well. thx
