I do not recommend buying this item. We installed ours on Memorial Day weekend, 3 months later the roof is being replaced with a metal roof. The entire unit is light weight we have had to reenforce the entire thing to keep it on the ground and from wobbling when you touch it. We did not open the package when it first arrived and were past the return window when we did. One of the corner posts had to be replaced because it was split the entire length. The kit was $1,600 and we have now had to invest another thousand to make it sound and useable.

This car port was relatively easy to put together. That being said, one of the main posts was cut incorrectly and required me to re-drill holes and modify how the support was attached. Also, the sheeting for the roof did not cover the whole roof, and is about 4 inches short on one side. I went over this again and again, to see if I made a mistake, but I followed the instructions correctly. It is big enough for my Chevy Traverse, but I do wish the roof was about 6 inches higher.The roof sheeting has warped to the point the birds are bathing in the pools on the roof. Also, I'm having to reinforce the beams running across. I've had to add 12 foot 2x4s to the backside of each because it was sagging last winter with only minimal snow load.

It’s shorter than what I wanted. But it’s nice and my vehicle fix . Wish it was more length and height
