TIGER GUI7-NT Wooden Fish Guiro with Wooden Scraper/Beater - School Percussion Instrument

Excellent wood work and sound, had hours of fun with this so far.

I'm using it in two bands, to accompany Santana's "Oye Como Va" which needs Latin percussion. Through the mic, this does the job!

I bought this guiro to use as a stage prop in the show, "Kipps". It looks the part, makes a reasonable (if high pitched) scrape sound, but was perfect on stage for its purpose. However, I am also a percussionist, and simply, for my own use, this doesn't really cut the mustard. One of the big LP (Latin Percussion) guiros is much better for live music. For stage use, education, etc., can't fault this - but because of my other potential use, it's too weak in terms of sound. Hence 4 stars rather than 5.

I like the natural sounds and it is comfortable to use.

First one came without the beater stick! Had to get a replacement. Build quality is good, functions as it should.

He comprado una remesa de 5 güiros, estoy muy contenta con la compra. Los instrumentos están bien acabados y el sonido es lo que buscaba (para un aula de música), no es profesional pero sí tiene una calidad suficiente que necesito para mis clases. Los volveré a comprar.

L'oggetto e' arrivato in un giorno e rispecchia tutte le caratteristiche indicate dal venditore. Non sono un musicista ma mi piaceva avere un guiro per poter imparare qualcosa di percussioni. Sicuramente ci sarà di meglio ma anche il prezzo sarà di gran lunga superiore a quello pagato per avere questo guiro in legno compreso di bacchetta. Lo consiglio.

Istrumento tutto di legno. Di ottima qualità, facile da suonare e non costoso come in altri negozi.
