Fluval FX2 External Aquarium Filter

This is an excellent filter. I use it on a 300ltr tank. My water is crystal clear. It also turns off every 12 hours for 1 minute to get rid of any trapped air in the filter. It is definitely worth every penny. It's also very quiet and comes with pretty long pipes so you shouldn't have any trouble with it reaching.

Turned up very fast and before expected. Functions perfectly and it's powerful for what I need and keeps the water looking crystal clear. The noise is very minimal to none and very easy to set up and looks clean in the cupboard.

I've had this since end of Aug 2024 and I'm super impressed. I actually got this for a 235L Tank, it's more than enough for it and does the job. I did have a look at the FX4 but didn't see the point of it given the size of the tank. I have an aqua sys 235 with the cabinet and this has enough space to fit under it. I would highly recommend Fluval products. I love the fact the flow of the output can be controlled, the build of it is amazing and just generally the support you get from Fluval (mine came from the seller Aquacadabra but dispatched by them), I have used Aquacadabra before and super impressed with them too

Very easy to set up. Perfect for my 200l tropical tank. More than enough flow,keeps the tank spotless. I did have to purchase the spray bar to distribute the flow more evenly across the top as the output nozzle produced too much flow for my fish. Would highly recommend. Fits perfectly in a Fluval roma cabinet.

Good quality. Worth the money Pipe work is a bit poor in my opinion. Works grand. Bit loud when the flow is limited Silent at full flow. Full flow is very powerful so only recommend on large tanks, as described on the box

Great filter until the filter died after a year to expensive for parts or replace better off with all pond solutions canister filters. It’s a shame as Fluval is supposed to be one of the best on the market.

I bought this as a replacement for a 15 year old Fluval 305 cannister filter. I'm running the FX2 on a 240 litre/64 gallon planted tank. Very easy to set up. I used the bio media from my old filter as its well established with beneficial bacteria and mixed it with the included media. Good flow from the output nozzles,do much so I've removed my wave maker. I've also added the Fluval FX UVC clarifier to the filter and all works excellent. Very quiet and a very worthy upgrade from my old filter.

Warning! This is an american filter, 120v not for europe. Have to use a converter. Maybe i got unlucky. The biomedia is bad and you get to little off it for the money. It's basically just a bucket with a pump and a hose and some baskets.

Great filter, powerful, quiet, works great. Keeps my 75gal tank very clean. Fairly easy to clean

Der Fluval FX2 ist nach meiner Meinung der beste Außenfilter den es gibt. Du fragst dich "warum"? Dieser Filter ist perfekt für Aquarien mit einem etwas höheren Besatz (Lebendgebärende wie Platy, Molly & co). Der FX2 ist der kleinste Bruder der FX serie und passt somit auch in Unterschränke eines 240er Becken (120x40). Er ist der leiseste Filter den ich jemals hatte und das bei einer Power L/h die sich sehen lassen kann. Der Aufbau der Filterstufen ist einzigartig und super durchdacht. Die Vorfilerstufe weist die größte Oberfläche auf, was sehr sinnvoll ist und dann kommt bei mir Sera Siporax gestapelt. Gestapelt habe ich das nur, damit ich den Durchfluss so wenig wie möglich störe. Einzig die Anschlüsse sind etwas groß geraten, wenn mann 19/22 Schläuche gewohnt ist. Denn bei diesem Filter benötigst du einen Schlauch mit 25mm innen Durchmesser! Was aber mit einem Reduzierstück ( pro Anschluss also 2x) schnell gelöst ist. Wenn du die Durchfluss Power voll ausreizen möchtest, solltest du den Schlauch nicht reduzieren. Alles in allem greif zu so lange es den FX2 noch gibt
