Excellent Vitamins, Especially for Vegetarians
These vitamins are great! I started on another vitamin (Pregnacare) well before I even got pregnant and had a horrible reaction to it. The Pregnacare tablets gave me such bad stomach pains and acid reflux that my GP actually thought I had an ulcer and so sent me for an endoscopy. I was miserable. Then someone recommended this and I love them! I've never had any problems while taking them (very little reflux, nausea or constipation, even during pregnancy). They are really easy on the stomach, thanks to the gentle form of iron they contain. And they've helped me stay healthy and feeling great. I have lots of energy. And they're excellent for vegetarians especially. Being a vegetarian, I worried that I'd have trouble keeping my iron levels up in pregnancy. But my iron has actually been on the upper end of the normal range the whole time. Even my midwife was impressed! Yes, some of that is probably down to just having a healthy lifestyle, but I'd like to think that these vitamins have helped to some degree. I plan to keep using these all the way through breastfeeding as well and will use them with my next pregnancy too. A great product! I wish I'd found these a long time ago before I had so many problems with the others! And for anyone concerned with the Vitamin D, it's best to take a separate Vitamin D/Calcium supplement in pregnancy anyway, as Vitamin D and Calcium are best absorbed together but shouldn't be taken with an iron-containing vitamin (like Solgar or Pregnacare or any of the other prenatals) because they block iron absorption. I've always taken them separately (Vitamin D/Calcium at breakfast, Prenatals at lunch and dinner). It's easy to manage and is the best thing for you anyway.

Great supplements, would buy again.
Not the nicest taste but you get used to it. Does the job.

Good product, wrong country
Good product, wrong country!I bought a bottle of these prenatal vitamins in a local health shop - dose of 2 tablets a day. I then ordered these online and was surprised by the dosage - 4 tablets. I noticed that the vitamin content was also doubled. I actually called Solgar to ask about this and was amazed to be put straight through to a nutritionist, who explained that the purple, 4 a day, product is designed for US market and should not be sold in the UK. The dose is still 2 tablets a day in the UK.

Easy on the stomach
I really like Solgar products, I trust them and they're good value. This was my all round pre natal vitamin and I loved it, found it fine to take even when nauseous, no side effects, and my perfect, healthy daughter was born at a nice weight :)

Daily dose of 4 makes it less good value than the UK version
As someone else wrote, these are different to the other version you'd normally buy in the uk from health food shops. Those state on them that they've been produced in the US for the UK Solgar branch, they're brown tablets, you take two of them and they tend to be more like £12, whereas these are the US version, they are purple and you take 4 of them a day and they tend to be about £10 but you obviously go through them a lot faster taking 4 a day.So the brown ones are better value than these, you can get them from nutrisun or planet organic or a health food shop. The bottles are almost exactly the same except the ingredients list runs sideways on the uk version and vertically on the US version, I think the US possibly has different guideline daily amounts for certain vitamins and that's why they're different.Apart from the pricing and number of tablets per day, this bottle is fine on all other counts. I like solgar because it has no gluten and no everything that might be contentious. It doesn't however say no gmo which would be good but maybe you can't have everything...

Effective nutrients at affordable price
My wife used these tablets for last 6 months (during and after pregnancy). Before that she tried some well known brands such as Pregnacare etc. From her experience these tablets are much easy to absorb, provide nutrients she needs and at much economical price then other brands. Highly recommend.

Solgar were recommended by a chemist as quality vitamins
These are great quality vitamins, I notice a difference on the weeks I ran out & had another brand instead, quickly restocked on these as they are significantly better
