Lives of these who take care of unhappy dead
A recounting of incidents that will raise your hair. I had never heard of IPS and I am glad I read this book. This book provides insights into the disturbed spirits who are 🔎 ng for closure knowingly or unknowingly. This leads to their haunting people who live in the vicinity of their death The author has provided detailed but very interesting account of how the IPS members help people who are being haunted. You can guage the danger that these people put themselves in just to save others and also help the ghosts in getting closure. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to everyone. I am going to lap up the other books. You keep going Abhirup and bring us more such haunting tales.

Interesting
Hauntings is a collection of eleven short horror stories investigated by the IPS (Indian Paranormal Society). Parallelly, an IPS member has a haunting problem in her house and her life is at stake.I enjoyed the stories and could draw parallels to Ed and Lorraine Warren's investigation in the Conjuring series. The author pens the stories with a scientific touch through EMFs, EVPs, and out-of-body experiences that gets extra brownie points from me.I am a reader who enjoys a detailed story. In that aspect, HAUNTINGS fell short of my expectations. I feel, in a horror story, the anticipation of a ghost is scarier than the ghost itself, and this aspect is lacking in some of the stories. I feel the author could have been more detailed in building the atmosphere of terror. But this is me who like details in the story.Overall, HAUNTINGS is a good read. My favourite horror story of HAUNTINGS is A Cursed Life and I was sweating by the end of the story. The thought of harbouring secrets and demented hatred and revenge for the other sister alone gave me goosebumps.

I would recommend this book to those who love this genre
Like seriously this book is so interesting i can't put it down without completing a chapter..sadly i haven't read the book Ghost Hunter: Gaurav Tiwari, which i was going to order and saw its currently unavailable as it's getting republished as told by the author himself. I am eagerly waiting for the book to be relaunched. Magnificently done!!!
I have always enjoyed horror and am now a self confessed fan of Abhirup's work. He has handled the subject of real life paranormal experiences with the kind of sensitivity that is rare. The writing is eloquent and the narration is riveting with attention to the finer nuances that make a fantastic horror book. Written in collaboration with The Paranormal Society of India, this book is a tribute to horror and an example of how beautifully horror can be written, if done by a talented author like Abhirup. Highly recommended!!

Fake and boring
This book claimed that it's based on truestories, totally fake and filmy stories, not a single line written in this book seems true. Why in the name of Gaurav Tiwari this writer has written this fake book? Not worth reading at all total wasted
