These flashlights work!
My grandson loves this flashlight! He doesn't have to worry about batteries going dead or plugging it in to recharge it. It was a four pack, so his brothers are jealous until they get theirs. Very bright. Easy to use. Lightweight to carry.

Great small battery-free flashlights
Inexpensive. Makes great gifts or stocking stuffers.Never worry about replacing battery. Squeeze hand crank to charge the flashlight. Good light beam.

Does Not Work
Just received and only 3 out of 4 flashlights work after charging.

Great when working, but quality/execution poor.
I wasn't confident about this purchase, but we wanted some self-charging flashlights for our emergency supplies, and the price was good enough that I couldn't be too disappointed with the results. My concerns were on target.I was pleasantly surprised by the flashlights when they arrived. Each of the 4 flashlights came inits own box, each was a different color. They seem solid and atleast minimally functional. The light is bright on battery mode. The internal generator can be operated with one hand, and will turn the light on, atleast momentarily. Kids immediately love them. The big disappointment was that only 3 of the 4 lights actually worked on arrival. The fourth already seemed to have had it's gears stripped before I even opened the box, preventing the internal generator from functioning as designed. A second broke in the next week. Would not buy again.

The ones that worked were great, unfortunatiy only twp of the four worked.
Two of the four items had switches that did not work I had issues with the first order not all working. After informing the seller their customer service quickly contacted me.They were very kind and professional in resolving this matter to my satisfaction. I will happily buy from this company again. Great product.

Too cheap
The first one broke after a few minutes of charging. I tried taking it apart to fix it but little bits of broken plastic fell out when it opened.I was very gentle with the second one, but it also broke in a few minutes.I might pay $1 for these things (a quarter each for a brief amusement), but not the $10 I paid.

Good for education. Bad for practical use
CriticismsI used these to demonstrate power generation. They fall apart quite easily. They do not have a battery. They use extremely efficient LEDS. The power from squeezing the flashlight is less than 1 volt a second. The diodes do all the work. The plastic enclosure falls apart when an adult handles it in less than 5 mins. Only the most gentle soul would be able to make this last. In its current state its only good as a demonstration for middle school to demonstrate how electricity is made from physical motion. I would not trust a child unsupervised with it as it could break and leave small plastic and metal parts behind.Constructive feedbackI do however really love the ergonomics of this flashlight over the rotating crank design, and if it was sturdier, and had atleast one lithium ion cell in it, and a usb charging circuit, I would gladly purchase it for up to $70 as a emergency charger for roadside breakdowns or a power outage during bad overcast to charge my phone or handwarmers as a last resort charging device. As long as it worked and was safe and didnt fall apart I would definitely buy this as a charger.

Very fragile
The goods have arrived. I ordered about 4 pcs. Everything works, but one broke on the first click. The body cannot withstand strong pressure. You need to press very carefully, because the case opens and the elements fall out of their slots. You can't wrap it with electrical tape for mounting, because then you won't be able to work with the recharge button. But for the price, it's good to have something in case of an emergency, and it can go a long way.
