it has good flavour and plenty of it
I've been a decaf drinker for years, tried "Swiss Water" decaf several times (to get away from the stuff that's treated with carcinogenic chemicals) but it's always too mild and weak. This is the first one I've discovered that I would consider a dark roast and suitable for espresso use, it has good flavour and plenty of it. It ticks every box, flavour, organic, swiss water, fair trade. I now buy this on subscription, I'm not looking for better decaf coffee any more, and that's a relief because it's been a long search!

Good taste for freshly ground decaffeinated coffee
I am amazed to find that there are more varieties of decaffeinated bean than ground coffee! So I bought a few varieties.I grind in an electric (ceramic grinding cogs ) grinder to very fine, then make the coffee in an Aeropress leaving the coffee in contact with the water for about 1 minute. It sounds faddy, but it isn't - these are mostly the cheapest items and the Aeropress is about £20, and it's quick to use a easy to clean.Suma coffee has a rounded taste with a corky or burnt Cork flavour from boiling water, and more of a tobacco flavour from 80'C. You can tell the difference - never thought I'd say it. Both flavours are very drinkable. This certainly tastes more like an Indonesian than Ethiopian coffee, although that may be my imagination ;-)

Its OK !
Having realised im drinking too much caffeinated coffee (I have a bean to cup machine that makes it all to easy to do that!)......I started searching for some decaf unground beans. There is not a fantastic selection and even the specialist online sellers dont have that many choices.Well, the beans do smell super and look great too. There is no getting away from the fact that they ARE decaf beans, but I suppose thats a silly comment really!!....I had hoped to notice less....Im not 100% sure I will order again but I have not tried many decaf beans before so have little comparison. I dont think at full price they are that cheap considering what you pay from dedicated specialist online sellers. I think I will try them next time and pay just a tad more.......So all in all, not bad...I would have given 3.5 starts if I could.UPDATE: Maybe 3 stars was a bit harsh - I have found that if you are (very) heavy handed with the amount of beans you use, the flavor is dramatically enhanced...I have upped to 4 starts after drinking some dire decaf in M&S and Costa this week...mines nicer at home using these beans!

Not bad at all.
Decaf - check. Swiss water - check. Organic - check. Fair trade - check. Full bodied - check. Good value - check. And i can't discern any probs with the flavour, as is often the case with decaf. Btw Swiss Water method doesn't use poisonous organic solvents... Yay!

Turns out decaf CAN taste great!
Having tried several decaf coffees since quitting caffeine, I have been dismayed at the lack of (decent) choices available in stores or on online.I decided to take the plunge with this brand due to the positive reviews on Amazon and am now very glad I did. In my opinion it makes excellent coffee; full bodied and rich, with no noticeable quality drop in comparison to my favourite caffeinated varieties.Well worth a try, and whilst fairly expensive, the 1kg bag should last you some time!!

Worst coffee I've ever tasted, period.
Very poor. Virtually no aroma at all either before or after being ground and barely any taste. Despite this the coffee leaves an awful acidic burning in the throat and gives me an acid reflux in the stomach (things I do not usually suffer from). Seriously - you couldn't pay me to drink this. Basically £20 in the bin now. A terrible waste of money and earth's resources. This has also left me wondering about Suma, I buy quite a lot of their other stuff but i am now really questioning how vigorous they are in checking their product quality and supply chain properly.

Excellent, full flavoured decaf.
This is the best decaf coffee I've found to date. I recently became very sensitive to caffeine (only discovered a few months after upgrading my espresso machine to the amazing Sage Duo Temp Pro), so I was delighted to have found this coffee after being very disappointed with others.I get a good crema, and the flavour is well rounded and very robust. Nobody believes it's decaf!

Not impressed doesn't really taste like coffee
There is a strong flavour to this but It's not of coffee. We won't be using up the bag.....and it's expensive!
