The plate bends in between if you tighten it too much.
Recommended to add a small aluminium strip with screw holes to avoid over stressing the plate when mounting. Finish was nice and grippy. Enough gaps to fit my top box in any orientation. Quality is nice so far. Will wait for when it rains.

Do not buy the product
The product is not universal so you can't install it on every bike. And they didn't have refund option.
