Absolutely love this book. Great designs and brilliant pattern.

I was very pleased with this book, lovely timeless styles (without being twee!), good quality pattern pieces and easy to follow instructions. I know I will be using this for many years to come.

I purchased this book after ordering several other pwttern books for sewing children's clothing. I must say that I found it one of the easiest to use; perhaps because of some of the complicated patterns and instructions of previoys books. The clothes are quite simple in style and design. There is a good balance between styles for boys and girls. The pictures are lovely to look at and inspires you to attempt each item. There are a couple of drawbacks though. The first being that you are provided with two large pattern sheets in a very convenient envelop on the back inside cover of the book. However you need to search for pattern elements across both sheets, on either side of each sheet. The author does indicate that pattern components may be found on separate sheets but I spent quite a while searching for them. The second drawback is that the instructions, although accompanied by fairly clear illustrations, are not as explicit as one might expect them to be. Having made a number of items such as bags, totes and other items of children's clothing from other books, I felt the instructions could have been set out better. In some instances I was left to figure out how to do certain bits without any reference to the step within the instructions. All in all, I would rate this book as a quite good given those that I've come across. Its a good start for a beginner as the styles are so simple. The styles are quite good for jazzing up with appliques and other embellishments; or even by using brighter coloured fabrics. Having a lot of fun and gaining more experience with this book. Recommended!

Great book, bought as used but could of easily been new. Patterns appeared to not of been used at all. Fast delivery arrived well before expected delivery date, will definately use again, thank you.

this is well constructed contemporary book with great images of the clothes. the pattens are well labelled. I will definitely be buying more of this series.

Good book!!! Clear enough even if you're not "very expert". Nice classic models for boys and girls that may look modern made on nice fabrics. Thanks!!

I'm sooo happy with this book! LOVE it!

Simple, classic patterns for boys and girls. Diagrams and simple instructions along with a variety of styles and sizes makes this a "must-have" book for intermediate and advanced sewers. The only problem I had was in the actual patterns that DON'T have the seam allowances OR hems added. It was clear that the seam allowances had to be added, but it was not as clear that the hem allowances were also to be added. Once that was clarified, the patterns went together beautifully.
