I am wary of customized gifts because they often sacrifice quality for personalization. Well, I took a chance on this knife, and I'm happy to say this is not at all the case. First, I was expecting a plain black gift box, but it has a nice leather-like top that really adds something. The engraving looks better than I expected. The elk print is raised ink that probably won't last forever, but does seem like it will last a good while. The knife itself is surprisingly good quality. Out of the box, it easily passes the paper test. You could use it right away. I was also impressed with the shipping: I ordered it on Saturday, and it arrived that Friday.It's exceeded my expectations, and I'll be coming back to this listing to get matching ones for other people in my life. A gift to impress that won't break the bank and, even better, is something they'll actually use.

After I placed order, decided I wanted to change engraved instructions. Contacted Customer Service with revised instructions and them confirmed promptly. At the time I placed order, they noted it would not arrive by Fathers Day.Not only did they revise engraved wording but arrived by Fathers Day. Impressed!My friend loved, loved, loved the knife. the knife is very strong and sturdy, is a pretty piece. the only thing happened is that the last name is clear than the name. other than that is perfect. Is a father days gift and I know he will like it.
