Almost perfect
I have mixed feeling about this item. It does what it's built to do quite well, but with the addition of one additional component, it could be much more versatile. There weren't any instructions to speak of, and it took me a while to figure out how this is supposed to work. Let me start with the four largest parts. There's a base and a removable bottom for the base. There's a handle and a removable plunger to the handle. Those two parts come assembled, but if you look closely you can see "open" and "close" embossed on the perimeter. So you would take some hamburger (no indication of how much), place it in the base, and flatten it with the assembled handle and plunger. Nothing stops it from going all the way to the bottom of the base, so you need to use a bit of discretion here. That's how you would form a standard hamburger patty. If you want to make a stuffed burger you would remove the "plunger" from the handle.to reveal a smaller diameter "plunger" inside. You would then press down on the previously made burger (still in the base) to form a cavity. Fill that cavity with whatever your stuffing material is and remove the burger from the base. The removable bottom makes this quite easy. Now you need something to cover up the stuffing . You would reassemble the "plunger" to the handle, place a small amount of hamburger in the base and press down. This will produce a thinner round shape to place on top of the open burger. That's all well and good. If you were able to follow my too-wordy instructions, you now have a 4" by 1" (as advertised) hamburger, either stuffed or not stuffed. Now onto the smaller mold. Again fill it with hamburger and use the handle/plunger combo to flatten it and force it into the mold. The "plunger" will not enter the smaller mold, so this will produce a 2.5" by 0.8" burger, again as advertised. Here's the thing. I'm not a huge meat eater. I prefer my hamburgers thin, thin, thin. I also like them with a small diameter so that I can eat them on small "slider" buns. I can use this tool to make thin large-diameter burgers, but not small-diameter ones.If only the manufacturer had included a small "plunger" that would fit inside of the smaller mold, I could do this.Even though I feel that it's not fair to downgrade this item to four stars because it wouldn't do something that it was not designed to do, that's what I'm going to do.

Simple and easy to use hamburger presses
Not sure why there are so many reviews saying there needs to be clear instructions as the product photos basically tell you how to use them. This burger press works great and is super affordable. I've seen some metal ones in the past and they are much sturdier of course, but for the price, this is a great alternative. Glad I got this product for future barbecues to keep my patties consistent in size!

Perfect burgers every time
Just made my first bunch of burgers with this and it was just what I needed. I made regular burgers, not stuffed, but I'm interested in trying some stuffed burgers at some point, so it's nice to have that option. This was super easy to use and intuitive. Cleans up easily.

Nifty tool
Yes, I could make burgers with my hands, but I really like this press. I especially love that you can make stuffed burgers with it! Something I've always wanted to do, but just never bothered. Now I'm going to! Makes nice uniform patties.

Love having all these options
We needed a burger press and found this set. We're happy with it but wish there was an even bigger option. Also, its a nice plastic version and it'll do for now while waiting for one that's cast iron. This is a nice item that also makes sliders.

Will Save Me Money
This is my first hamburger press. For whatever reason, I've never been able to form a decent burger patty by hand. Before getting this press, I used to spend extra to get the preformed patties. I have no problem making uniform, equal sized patties with this press. This press will save me money in the long run by not having to buy preformed patties anymore. This hamburger press is sturdy, easy to use and easy to clean.

Directions would be nice
Nice hamburger press set, but I was unsure how to use them. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any instructions, and while this product on Amazon does show some ideas, it was confusing right out of the box when I wasn't at the computer to look up the product.Quality is great - easy to clean and, once figured out, made some great burgers.
