It has beautiful bone scales, well fitted, which blends well with the brass bolsters. The sharpened edge of the blade is 2 1/2" long. The total length is 2 13/16" extending beyond the bolster. The total length of the folded knife is 3 5/8". The knife is obviously hand made, so there will be variations in each one. In this one, the bee was installed crookedly and was therefore filed off on one side. Also the bolster on that end was filed lower on one side than the other. This left a larger than necessary gap between the bee wing and the bolster and leaves a sharp edge on the bee wing. However, for the price I would not even begin to complain. Where these are made seems to be a well kept secret but I'm guessing India. To get the real deal from France, you would have to pay over 10 times as much. I am well satisfied with this one. The scabbard is not much to write home about but I bought this as a pocket knife. This knife will rust and corrode if not properly taken care of, but it's not that much effort to do so. Not very impressed. Craftsmanship, sturdiness, design ect all lovely but thw blade has definitely been used/tested on something to have these dinks in the blade itself.
