Reminds me of my erector set from yesteryears
Can you say nostalgia!!! This brings me back to the erector sets of our childhood. Its a nice fun little toy set to build a slue of different things, it comes with a book to build different machines which are awesome! you can also explore on your own. comes with the "tools" needed to assemble the different machines. its a great toy for you child to learn and build things. my only complaint and this might be from my aging eyes is the pictures in the instruction book seem quite small. again idk if that's just me or what but I've had a bunch of fun building these with my five year old!!!

Very cool set
This is a great set for kids that are a bit older and looking for something with as slight challenge to it. My 6 year old really enjoys this.

Awesome toy set!
My 6 year old son loved putting these together! The pieces are a perfect size for him to be able to put this together by himself and the instructions are easy to follow along. Additionally, this is a sturdy set as nothing has broken thus far and he plays with it daily!

Toys you gotta work for!
This is a cool STEM set which will teach important skills like basic engineering, instruction following and patience. They are fun to play with, once finished, and your little one should feel a sense of accomplishment after putting them together. My 6-year-old loves Legos, so he's got some experience constructing. These are a little more complex than what he's been working on, but he can do most of it by himself, with Dad to supervise. There are actually a couple tools included that you'll need to use. Once again, instructions are pretty easy to follow, but a little more difficult than Legos. So far, my kid has built the windmill, then one of the cranes. Keep in mind that you only build one thing at a time, then you have to take it apart to build something else. You can also make your own creations. Comes in a clear, plastic container that looks like a toolbox, which makes cleanup a lot easier and more organized.

Definitely better for an older child
I got this as a Christmas present for my nephew, who is five and he loves construction and building. It’s definitely got a lot of little pieces so make sure when you are letting him play with it that he does it somewhere where you can watch him and make sure you don’t lose anything. It’s a good gift for him and his dad to do together as his father works in construction!

Stimulate your kids creativity
I got this to entertain my grandkids when they come over for a visit. Of course I had to try it out myself! After putting together the crane project, I think they will love this. The description on Amazon mentions 'preschool', but the box states 5+ which is definitely more appropriate. I can't see many preschoolers being able to really build with these. While there are step by step picture instructions for the 8 suggested toys, there's plenty of room for creativity. I built the crane as directed in the included Build & Play book, but immediately decided I didn't like that the pully wheel wasn't used for the string, so I redesigned it and moved the pully to the middle and attached the string to it. This is just the tip of the creative iceberg.
