I always buy a couple new Christmas books each year and am glad I found this one. We really giggled about the reindeer at the spa on the first page, so funny! It’s a fun kids book that teaches perseverance and teamwork. I liked that it was Christmas themed but different than just another story about Santa delivering the gifts. We also live in a mountain Amtrak-station town so we know how the Train Rolls On in all conditions!

Kids will giggle at the animals getting massages and pedicures. The train with the big eyes reminded me of Thomas the Train. They didn't have the same coloring, but it's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it.The Animal Express battles the elements to see Santa's helpers home safely. Blizzard-like conditions are not ideal traveling conditions, no matter what transportation you use. These conditions lead to a pivotal scene that might make your youngster yell, "Oh no!" The troublesome situation calls for teamwork, and the joint effort saves the day!"The Train Rolls On To The North Pole" by Jodi Adams is a perfect story for those who celebrate Christmas. Many age groups can and will find enjoyment in the story. Since many toddlers recognize Santa and his flying reindeer, they can easily enjoy the photos. By the way, the illustrations were spectacular. The cover instantly caught my eye, and I know it will also capture little kids' eyes.If you want your child to understand the text, I would suggest reading this to three-year-olds and older. I want to note the author was thoughtful in creating a glossary. I would utilize it because some of the words in this book may be new to your child.

This is a fantastic book for any child in your life, especially if you are looking for a unique Christmas gift! Or if your child loves trains as much as mine :) I think this would be great for toddlers and bigger kids alike; my kindergartner especially enjoyed the suspense that builds as the train nears the North Pole. There is a healthy mix of big kid words (with a handy vocab list in the back!) that offers an opportunity for discussion. (Our child specifically asked about the word "deadline" which was a great time to define the word and talk about how it was very important to the story!) Santa leaves something surprising for the train, which my child got a real kick out of, and was super clever. The illustrations are very detailed and colorful. I highly recommend this book!

I love trains and my 2 year granddaughter loves books. So when I saw your book it didn’t take much to get me to buy it for her. She lives in Baton Rouge and we live in Orlando and I had the book shipped directly to her. Until recently I had not seen the book in person. But video chats have been delightful to see her eyes light up with your book. I have a photo and short video of her reading it to herself. Pretend reading. (She’s very smart, but not there yet.) My daughter says your book has quickly become her daughter’s favorite. And that should be all an author can hope for from a book loving child!I have now ordered and received my copy for our grandsons here and video readings with my granddaughter. It is proudly displayed in our grandkid’s “train room”. Beautiful pictures, lovely story, wonderfully published, but most importantly Lydia approved book.

This is the second book I have by Jodi Adams and she is on a roll! One of my favorite aspects of her engaging children’s books is the way in which she uses rich vocabulary that promotes children to ask questions and ponder meanings of new words. The glossary in the back is the perfect addition! The imagery brings the story to life in such a bright and cheery way. My children and I loved finding the cardinal on each page! This is a magical story with a heartwarming message of perseverance and teamwork. This is the next hot off the press holiday book that should be on every child’s wish list this year!

Absolutely delightful book!!!!!!!!!!!! The rhyming with the colorful illustrations is so special. Keep going with determination and perseverance until you get to your goal. Everyone pitched in to help get the train to the North Pole. Absolutely charming animals – loved the reindeer at the spa. Check out the detail such as the reindeer with heart-shaped glasses. Find the red cardinal wearing a scarf and ear muffs on each page as you read the book. BONUS: Free activities and coloring pages --- glossary of words used in the book.Great book for anyone who enjoys trains and animals. People of all ages will enjoy this book and will want to read the book over and over again.

What a fun continuation of The Train Rolls on story! Christmas is my favorite time of year and this book reminded me of that! It's a perfect read for all ages, but I know my 4 year old really loves the beautiful and realistic illustrations! The story is engaging, consise, and just overall enjoyable! I also love how the author includes a vocab list to help expand the young reader's mind! This book absolutely deserves a 5 star rating! Buy it now!
