Bosch WAN28201GB Serie 4 Freestanding Washing Machine, 8kg load, 1400rpm spin, White [Energy Class A+++]

We got this to replace our old Bosch which had been totally reliable for nine years but begun to be a bit noisy.. we also needed a bigger drum. This Bosch is brilliant and it is SO quiet, it has a new style motor and really is so much quieter. Simple to use and very well made. If you have a family with kids and the constant need to wash, then this bigger 8kilo drum and it's a more economical machine, is the one for you !

So far so good. Arrived quickly, works a treat and let's hope for a long and lasting lifespan.

This washer is very easy to use. It's quiet, and has many program options. We're very happy with it.

One of the transportation bolts had been driven into the washing machine drum. The other three were bent. One corner of the top cover was damaged and the top cracked. The outside packaging was fine, so this happened before packaging/re-packaging, either at Bosch or along their supply chain to Amazon (or maybe Amazon trying to resell faulty goods).Amazon's Customer Service phone line cut off as soon as their recorded message finished. The chat line sounded helpful, but did not deliver a collection date. An emailed promised collection date did not materialise. A phone call from Customer Service ended with a promise to phone the next day with confirmation of the collection date and a date for a replacement delivery. The next day I had an email claiming customer service rang but did not get a reply. There is no record on my phone of a call from Amazon and it was next to me at the claimed time of calling me. The email asked me to reply to confirm the collection date (no replacement delivery date). My reply (hit the reply key on Outlook) resulted in a message that the address "was not accepting emails". An email to the general inbox of customer service was not rejected but later turned out to be "an address we don't use any more"! Two hours on the chat line later, I got 25 July as the collection date, later confirmed by an email. The collecting agent, Arrow XL, texted me to go through their process for obtaining a collection date - but "no dates were available" and their chatline was continually "busy". The next day I received another text at 7am, followed the link immediately, which gave me 10 August as the earliest collection date!! I emailed Arrow XL customer service attaching the email from Amazon customer service to let them know Amazon had already arranged collection on 25 July. On 25 July, Arrow XL collected the washing machine at 8am, I received notification of refund from Amazon at 9am and at 9.40am I received a response from Arrow XL customer service, saying they had no knowledge of Amazon arranging a pick up! Since then I have asked Amazon customer service to sort out Arrow XL and have received daily texts from Arrow XL to arrange a colection date. I have had no response from Amazon customer service or Arrow XL customer service. What a shambles!The moral of the story seems to be: don't buy large items on Amazon. If they are faulty you will waste online hours and offline days trying to work your way through customer service systems that can't cope with a simple service recovery problem.

We bought this to replace our old Bosch washing machine and we are very impressed with it. The instructions are clear and we like that you can see how long is left in each cycle. It also has the added bonus of a sportswear cycle, which is very handy for us. Our old washing machine had died, so we had about a weeks worth of washing to do by the time this machine arrived. The 8kg capacity meant we were able to work through the pile very quickly in just a day. It is so quiet that I had to keep checking that it was actually working! Even the spin cycle is practically silent. A lovely washing machine, highly recommended.

We purchased this washing machine because of the good reviews. Firstly I’d like to say it was easy to use, although had to google how to do a ‘spin only’.. yes it does have a spin only function. Just put it to the drain/rinse/ spin, then press the aqua plus button which cancels the rinse.Sadly I think we were unfortunate to have had a faulty one as toward the end of the spin cycle it sounded like a bomb dropping for the last 10 seconds. I took up the problem with Bosch and after sending a video of the noise they agreed to refund and provided an uplift number to the retailer.Amazon were fantastic too. No problem returning as was faulty.We have bought a different model, still Bosch. And that works like a dream.

Not sure if it’s down to the delivery guys removing the packaging from this before they briught it to my door but I wasn’t aware that it had transport bolts that had to be removed. Never bought a washing machine so how was I supposed to know? No stickers on the machine warning me these needed to be removed before use.So I plugged it in, connected water & drain pipes and stuck a load on & went out. Came home to find the power trip switch for the house had tripped, the washing machine was half way across the room and had cut through it’s own power cord. I contacted the Amazon seller and received a terse reply saying that it says in the handbook (in little grey letters) about the machine bolts. As if anyone ever reads the handbook! The warranty is voided and the machine makes a violent banging noise sometimes on full spin. Nice one Bosch, cheers.
