The best thing about it apart from the beautiful deep shine is the protection from dings scuffs and scratches. Once you have polished something wooden a couple of times with this polish it seems to form a protective layer and already a couple of times I have been able to polish out what I thought was a pretty serious ding. You see in the pics how my beautiful Taylor 314ce came back from the Luthiers (no I wont use them again) It's made of Sapele which is a type of mahogony. I couldn't photo the exact spot after polishing the guitar because I couldn't remember exactly where it was and couldn't find it. So highly recommended by her Maj. and me. Please bear in mind that this guitar was already protected by previously being polished with Renaissance polish a number of times (every time I change strings - about every 10 - 12 weeks) I'm not saying that this will revive damaged wood if not already protected. It was developed for and used by the British Museum and many other similar establishments to ensure the long term preservation of their items. Applies easily, buff to remove excess and job done. Doesn't have a glossy sheen but then it was designed to preserve the finish and the look of the material and finishes it was applied over. Works on many other types of material too. A little goes a long way, this is only my 2nd tin in 10 years - I used the first on dozens of items several times over.
