Love this hammock
What an excellent hammock! Ok its on the side of a bit more expensive, but you really can't compare this to the cheaper options out there. It's well made, and the poles allow the hammock to spread out properly allowing for a very easy diagonal lay. For me at nearly 6ft, and around 95Kgs it works fantastically. You'd do well to pickup the whoopie slings as they make hanging a whole lot easier even if they are a fiddle to install to start with.I took this out in the November storm of 2019 down the west coast of the UK in 70mph winds and it held up amazingly well (even if my tarp pulled its pegs out and the rest of our camp didn't fare so well). I stayed very comfortable in conjunction with a Jura 2 sleeping bag and an underblanket. In this situation the poles did pop out when stressed, but I think it's well beyond the usage intended. If anything it's a bit heavy and with the poles it takes up a lot of pack space in the bergen, and the storage bag isn't waterproof which is a shame as I could otherwise secure it to the outside of my pack without it getting soaked through.

Massive!
Nice hammock! Iv just upgraded my current system to the DD frontline and it’s made life so much more enjoyable! Your basically paying for an easy, strong and durable set up that’s been designed by someone who obviously uses a hammock! There’s loads of room in fact I felt lost when I first got in! I’d allways recommend a under blanket and I ordered the DD one with this hammock so it’s perfect!

Brilliant bit of kit
Excellent product in every way plenty of room for XL people loads of room with the mosy net well away from your face when sleeping can also be used as a bivvy tent with the poles from the mosy net if you haven't got one of these hammocks yet you are missing out absolutely brilliant be sure if you are going to use it as a bivvy tent put a waterproof ground sheet under as the hammock is not waterproof

Massive version of the frontline
I've had the standard frontline for a while and spent about 30 nights in and it still looks new. I'm 6'2 and have sometimes found it difficult to get comfortable and have found a ridge under my legs which has stopped me from being able to get a really good lay in the standard size. This version is only 30cm or so longer, but is massively wider and deeper.I can get a much more comfortable lay in this hammock, however as it's larger I found it is better to hang it a bit flatter.I'm a huge fan of DD products, and this seems to be their usual quality, and looks pretty heavy duty. The poles can fit into either grommet on the tabs, this is actually handy as depending on how flat the hammock is hanging, the poles flex quite a bit when you get in and out. Also you'd need both set of grommets if you pegged this out in ground bivvy mode.Inside this is absolutely massive I like the sliding pocket on the internal ridgeline, I tied this with a taught line hitch so that the tension is adjustable.I'd recommend swapping the suspension for an easier to adjust system- I've used dd whoopie slings and henge hammocks cinch buckles and both are great. You could argue that the hammock could come with a better suspension system as standard, but that would push the price to around the £100 mark. The pack size of this is pretty massive, about 30% bigger than the standard frontline. This could be compressed down a fair bit but the poles pretty much take up the length of the pack, I'll try storing these separately in my pack to reduce the size.Overall the pack size and the extra weight are totally worth it. I'm not someone who wants superlight gear, but rather good quality gear that works and lasts- which is why dd stuff fits the bill. To give you an idea of size -you can just about get the hammock in the side "rocket pouch" of a plce bergen. If you want to tarp over this you'll need to either use a longer tarp or set up your 3x3 tarp in a diamond formation , once you take into account the hammock sag it will just about fit under a 3x3 in an A frame configuration, but will leave the ends a bit exposed to rain. The dd tarp xl is perfect at 4.5mx3m.I'd recommend getting a snakeskin to protect your hammock, as there's nothing worse than dragging your hammock on the floor. I already had the standard size dd one, and this does fit frontline xl at a push, however if you get the DD xl hammock sleeve you can get the hammock, with underquilt attached, and a 3 season sleeping bag inside it.Also I found that the DD underquilt fits this fine, in fact it actually sat on this better as it's sits a bit tighter across the hammock than on the standard frontline so doesn't shift about.Overall I thoroughly recommend this product, and I think its great value for money, the only single thing I'd mark it down on is that the poles don't come in their own bag, just in the pack with the rest of the hammock, which I didn't really like, as the standard frontline has a little bag for the (smaller ) spreader bars.

GREAT HAMMOCK FOR MY BACK!
Great hammock for my back!!!i first came across DD Hammocks from watching carlisle195 on UTUBE, and about he praised DD for their product. I had really had begun checking out hammock camping as a lifestyle i wanted to embrace after considering the stress of the world we live in, the fact that i love nature and bushcrafting, and...that my back is shot and I can't grasp the thought pf sleeping on the ground in a tent with the rocks, bugs, snakes, uneven ground, and the hassle of erecting a tent! But, I didn't want to sleep like a banana, or lay crosswise in a hammock either, which brings me back to the DD Frontline XL.....and, after careful research, considering cost, comfort, and ease of putting up and taking down...plus the views of people on UTUBE, I purchased the above hammock.I have slept on my DD Frontline XL for several nights since purchasing it...and i have never slept so well in years! I sleep flat, my back feels great in the morning, I don't have mosquito net in my face, there is tons of room to move around, and I'm not getting bit through the fabric because of the double layer construction, which also helps to hold in my Klymit V sleeping pad! With all that said, i just can't find a better value for $122.00 US!
