No gimmicks, just quality engineering: powerful, accurate cuts, very low vibration, comfortable to use.
Inside the box you get:1: A better saw than most people will ever need.2: A clear clip on dust extractor shroud (treat it carefully, it should last years).3: A clear anti-chip plate (these are consumables, easy to use, easy to find and inexpensive if you find you like them)4: A black plastic dust extraction nozzle (supplied fitted, it is no hardship to leave on the saw even if you don't hook it up).5: A simple manual, lots of pictograms, supports lots of languages.6: One sample Bosch multi purpose blade. These are about £1 each, worth every penny. People complain that you only get one...honestly the saw is where the money went. There are no lasers, if you want a LED, put a torch on the bench. Instead of gimmicks, you get quality engineering. When you pick the saw up, it feels like it means business before you even plug it in. Feeding it a blade and electricity confirms that this is very well made machine. The variable speed trigger is really well implemented on this saw, the blade change is very simple and quick ( Bosch invented the jigsaw, and the SDS blade change system). The shoe is steel, very sturdy, no sharp edges (and is easily covered in masking tape if you are cutting laminate). Even the power cable is very good quality. The case is sturdy, big enough to hold the saw and the supplied accessories without having to try hard to make it all fit in. It should be noted that the case is not the latest 'l-boxx' design, and this is not a bad thing: the l-boxx is designed to stack and link together so that lots of tools can be transported on a dolly... If you want to hand carry, then the l-boxx design is somewhat flawed: the box is so wide it hits your legs unless you hold it at arms length, not comfortable for any length of time.*Top tip* Don't forget to register online with Bosch online to get the full 3 year warranty.I'm using this mainly to cut wood: I would recommend the Bosch Robust Blades for wood.

Good tools, good workman.
It's oft said that a bad workman blames his tools, yeah, well, it's possible that they are just rubbish tools. I've been steadily putting together a garden workshop and upgrading my tools as I've gone along. Even with the diy shop own brand stuff I've done ok for a hobbyist but seemed to be totally incapable of getting a decent plumb curve cut with a jigsaw...then I bought this! Wowzer McWowzer, I knew I could do it! One of the last power tools I upgraded was the occasional use jigsaw and now I'm trying to think of how to make everything I do have a smooth curve cut in it. The tool itself is on the weighty side but good golly miss molly, it's accurate. The base plate is sturdy and the whole thing is surprisingly smooth to use and as with all the bosch tools I now own, really nice in the hand. Rather than ragging it's way through stuff it just nibbles away like a beaver with the weight being a blessing for control not a hindrance. The dust blower works well and blade change is ridiculously easy. If I sound to be gushing it's only because I knew all along that I had a good eye and a steady hand but jigsaw use was beyond me. Great machine, great results and a box to store it in!

Good quality tool, at a reasonable price. Ideal for my needs and worth the investment
Used for diy projects and so far finding it excellent with softwood, ply and mdf. Good depth of cut, accurate and easy to handle. Perspex splinter guard is a bit fiddly and took ages to fit but that aside very happy so far. I've used Bosch for nearly all my power tools for many years as an amateur woodworker/hobbyist and always find them sturdy, reliable and reasonably priced and this jigsaw is no exception. Would recommend.

Love this !
Got this at a great price and love it.It's robust, accurate, powerful and lovely to use !The only bad is the dust cover --- a pain to fit onto the unit.Would buy again.

Powerful and easy to use piece of equipment .
The tool is well made and easy to use and to change the blades . I would have liked it to have been equipped with a LED light to illuminate the blade and the pilot line on the material being cut . The carrying case would benefit from being made a little stronger .

Great Tool!
We have owned a few different Bosch Professional tools, some from 10ish years ago, some bought recently.None have let us down, and this one is not exception. The quality of the tool feel sturdy, and weight of the machine not only show the quality of the tool, but also help to stabilise the sawing as well. The provided plastic cover also help to smooth the finishing as well which is a big plus.

Dream To Use
I have used a cheap and cheerful Screwfix own brand jigsaw but with decent Bosch or Key Blade Fixings blades for years and while it done the job it was never much fun using the jigsaw with vibration being a issue. So I just fancied getting a new tool and decided to upgrade the jigsaw. Usually I am a massive Makita man but have got a few Bosch Blue (Professional) tools and always been impressed with their build quality and premium feel... This jigsaw was no exception.Came in a nice hard case. Saw has a considerable amount of gravity (weight) to it and you can immediately tell it's very well made. Inserting a blade is very easy and this jig cuts beautifully and really is a dream to use. The heavy weight of it basically cuts vibration to pretty much none and so easy to control. Feels great in the hand even after lengthy use. Ventilation slots on side seem deliberately designed or by happy accident to push dust out and not angled up towards the face like my cheapo saw.Yet again Bosch Professional impressed me and I am a very harsh criticWell worth the money. Highly recommended
