Fond memories of the 60s, the hippies and flower power.
A great collection of American and British 60s songs on 3 CDs. Apart from some of the classics, e.g. Mamas and Papas, The Animals, Box Tops, Beach Boys, The Monkees and The Hollies there are also some obscure and not so well known tracks. These include, The Silkie, "You've got to hide your love away", Strawberry Alarm Clock, "Incense and peppermint" and The Cowsills, "The rain, the park and other things". 50 years on, these 60 hits of the flower power generation are as fresh, unique and loveable today as they have ever been. Long live the hippies and the summer of love!

I like this just brings back happy memories of years gone ...
I like this just brings back happy memories of years gone by even though I was born in the 60s lots of these tunes still resonate as I can remember listening to them on my radio on Sunday night top forty sounds. Although it may have just been on radio in dads car, I forget how old I am sometimes. No matter how old songs like this make you feel young again

Track 8 CD 1
I bought this triple cd set recently and found it very enjoyable. Most of the tracks I've heard before but there aren't too many I dislike. I have to say the selection could have been more adventurous but there we are.I don't know if anyone else has brought this up but track 8 on the first cd is listed on the cover (twice in fact) as Catch The Wind by Glen Campbell. I thought this was a little odd as track 10 on the second cd is Catch The Wind by Donovan, (who wrote the song), and collections rarely include the same song twice, even by different artists. As it happens the Glen Campbell track on side one is Gentle On My Mind! I don't know what happend when the cover was printed? It didn't spoil my listening but I thought I would point it out!
