Deluxe Spiked Bamboo Wooden Roast Joint Carving & Cutting Board 48 x 36cm, Brown

Really pleased with my new carving board. Extremely well made, good weight so very stable when in use and doesn't move around. The spikes secure the meat in position firmly. Unlike my previous stainless steel board, this one being wood won't blunt my expensive knives. Highly recommend.

Well made, nice and big and heavy. Love the spike ring storage so you don't damage it, or other things, from it's very sharp spikes whilst it's stored in the cupboard. More importantly no gouged hands when getting it out of the cupboard.As I've said its big and heavy so if you are frantically sawing away at your sunday joint of leather, the board stays nice and planted.

Excellent quality

The spiked trivet is removable and stows under the board. The board has a small pad in each of the four corners lift it from your counter top. A better/different design would have allowed using it as a cutting board on one side and a carving board on the other.

The bamboo wood is lovely to look at and matches my worktop perfectly. It is quite large so storing it is a problem in a small kitchen. This is why I have just left it on the worktop leaning up against the tiles. It is bigger than I thought and to be honest a smaller one would have done. One this big is for Xmas Turkey and people who can afford big joints of meat. But I have used it for a small chicken and it holds it fine and I can cut the bird up without it sliding everywhere. Also there is plenty of room for the cut meat. The juices run into the cutouts and can be drained off easily. Will last me until I die. Very good quality and washes off without leaving stains in the wood. Not complaints with the product at all. As for the size I think a smaller one would have been better for me. That said the measurements were given by the supplier I just didn't check them out.

This board works really well and means that the knife is not damaged if it hits the wood. It is large, but not too large for our chickens and small joints. Would handle a family joint easily. The spikes hold the meat firmly. The weight of the board and the suckers underneath mean the board does not lip about.The juice is caught in the indent and is easy to pour away, with out the meat moving.I do wish we had been given washing instructions. Can it go in the dishwasher? We decided against it incase it is compressed wood and the glue melts. No way of knowing. Being wood, needs to be well cleaned. Again no instructions as to if the wood is treated to prevent the juice soaking into the wood. It looks as though it is, but it would be nice to know.Overall very pleased with this purchase.

The media could not be loaded.  Nice thick board but as you can see in the pictures poorly designed. The black thumb bolts that hold the spike ring in place under the board are longer then the feet. They are designed to stay in place even with the ring removed. So the board swings about on them if you put any pressure on the board bit pointless having spikes to hold the meat but the board itself slides like its on wheels. I have tightened the black thumb bolts as tight as I can makes no difference so only option is to remove them completely which means no doubt they will get lost eventually! Very poor design disappointed that this is sold with an obvious problem.

Love this. My mum had one similar, I kept meaning to buy one for ages, so decided this Christmas to treat myself. Sturdy, easy to clean and keeps meat resting nicely and the spikes make it so easy for carving, plus the juice collector is great you can pour them straight into your gravy pot.
