I bought this to replace the burner on my Browning TF2005115 cooking stand. The decrease in cooking time was amazing! I went from 3+ hours to boil my 5 gallons of homebrew wort to less than 30 mins.The increased speed uses approx the same amount of gas as before. I connect my house Natural Gas line directly. The line was at about 10% open to keep a mostly blue flame before, now its about 15% open and there is a lot more blue flame.I did not have to but anything on the stand to get this to fit. I did have to bend the bar that it screws into slightly though. Before my next beer batch I'll cut out a notch for the stem of the burner to fit up into to put the burner closer to the bottom of the pot and so I can restraighten the attaching bar.

Cast iron sturdy and durable. Design has been the same for years so it was a direct replacement for my outdoor stove.

Bought this as a larger burner with the stand we bought for outdoor pressure canning, thinking a bigger flame was better. Turns out the smaller unit that actually came with the burner was better as the flame would be more concentrated. Couldn't return it as it was after the return window, but the 800-number helpline was quick and helpful. So we have a spare for different jobs, no regrets.

For homebrewers, this is good for maintaining heat to mash tun or HLT but underpowered for rolling boils on full kettleI bought this to replace a similar burner that was temperamental but in retrospect may just have needed to be cleaned. This replacement was easy to install and lit right up but, similar to the one it replaced, needed a light touch on the gas input and the air openings to achieve and maintain all the ports aflame. If you try to crank it up it will just blow out. This doesn't make it a bad burner, just not what I was looking for.I was hoping to avoid the noise put out by my other burner (Bayou Classic BG10 -  Bayou Classic BG10 High Pressure Cast-Iron Replacement Burner for Round Bayou Classic Cooker Frames ) but the BG10, while louder, puts out more practical heat and you can crank it much higher than the BG12

I used this on a homemade brew stand to replace a 10" burner with this 6" one so I can control lower/more consistent mash temps. Seems to work well, only complaint was mounting hole is threaded 1/4-28 not 1/4-20, which is weird but maybe its standard for these burner housings.

This burner is exactly what I needed for a plow disk/cowboy wok/discada set up. I knew based on the other reviews that it didn't include the burner orifice. That's fine, it's just a standard 1/8" LP orifice. However, it DID NOT include the air shutter even though it is pictured! Without the air shutter, the burner gets way too much air and won't even start. Thankfully I was able to find a replacement shutter on a website off of Amazon, but it's extremely disappointing that this critical piece that is specific to this burner was not included as without it it is completely useless. The burner itself is fine, but there are other sources for this burner at the same price that include the parts you need!

I bought 2 of these burners for a brew sculpture I'm building. They forgot to mention that they don't come with an orifice, so if you don't have one already you'll need to order one, it takes the 1/4 inch size. I bought high pressure orifices and they work very well. The burners aren't too loud and put out quite a bit of heat. These burners are going to be used just for heating not boiling, I bought the BG14 for my boiling kettle.

Easy to install and a perfect fit for our outdoor cooker.
