We recently purchased this pergola in hopes that it would solve our sun/wind issues on our patio. We tried a 11 foot patio umbrella in the past and it moved around quite a bit due to wind. We were looking for something that would provide sun blocking and that would hold up in the wind as well and figured we would give this option a try.The product arrived quickly and was not damaged during shipping. The instructions were easy to follow and assembly went smoothly with 2 people. There were a couple of holes that were not drilled in the right place, but was easily corrected. The frame of the product is a lightweight, greyish colored aluminum and is sturdy when assembled. We ordered the grey canopy option and the color is very nice with the frame. We attached the pergola to our cement patio and so far, it has been great! The retractable cover is easy to use and locks into place when the canopy is open. We will add curtains or shades on the sides to help with some of the sun block due to the way the sun moves across our patio, but sun block from the canopy top is great. I had to reach out to customer service for one issue we had, but they followed up promptly and were able to take care of this matter quickly and properly. We are happy with our new addition and hope that it provides us with years of sun protection.

So this is certainly not be the best Pergola money can buy, but if you're looking for a solid budget option that doesn't sacrifice on quality, I highly recommend Purple Leaf! It takes about as long to assemble as you would expect (it's not quick, but it's totally reasonable). I highly recommend doing as the instructions suggest and making sure you have all the pieces before starting the assembly process. We discovered a few small missing pieces later in the process, but the good news is that Purple Leaf support is absolutely excellent. They were incredibly responsive, shipped the replacement parts right away (we got the replacements in less than a week), and then continued to follow up periodically until we finally found the time to finish building and were sure that we had everything we needed. Additionally, despite being very well packaged, one of the main legs had a small bend in it. However, the missing pieces and small dent were entirely mitigated by their excellent support. Ultimately, we're very pleased with the finished product. The only minor caveat is that you should not expect a stable enough pergola to support anything with weight. The final product provides great shade and is stable by itself, but if you bump it, it will sway a bit. Still, this is entirely minor for the price. If we needed a structure that could be climbed on, we'd have spent more money for a wooden one. I highly recommend this for a quality budget option.

The 11x13 pergola is exactly what we needed for our deck. It was easy to assemble (definitely a 2 person build after basic assembly is complete), and took a few hours to complete. The quality of the assembled pergola is very good and looks great.After it was assembled, my only real concern occurred. The pull back canopy only pops into a friction holder. If you have zero wind this is fine, but we have a breezy (not gusty or steady wind, just a light breeze that is steady) area and the wind caused the canopy to pull out of the friction holder quite easily. And because of this, the canopy tried to close all the way, but the wind caused the canopy to be cockeyed and this caused a roller to break and the first poll came apart. This leads to my second positive point.I contacted customer service about ordering a new roller and they instantly offered to send a free replacement. I received the new roller in a couple days and have since replaced it in the pergola.The pergola looks great and is holding together great.One concern is when the canopy is closed. There is nothing that holds it in place, so the wind causes it to slide back and forth unless secured (we have a bungee around it currently to keep it in place).

I purchased this canopy for my dogs to have a shade over their grass. I used tall pots and put the legs inside and held them with rocks when it becomes too windy I don’t have to worry because I can open the canopy (I do put a large zip tie to tie it. )and the wind does not affect it. It’s very pretty. Did you take some time to put together but was not hard. Most of all I want to note that the customer service is phenomenal I needed a piece that broke after a year . And they sent it to me properly.

Lieferung war schnell und vollständig. Sehr gute Beschriftung und Bauanleitung. Man sollte auf jeden Fall zu zweit, eher zu dritt sein. Mit 2,5 Personen hat der Aufbau ca. 3 Stunden gedauert. Optisch sehr schön. Über die Langlebigkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen.

Looks lovely and great Value for money. I thought this pergola was very good for the price. It did take 2 people to put it up. The customer service from purple leaf is amazing. Stupidly I didn’t secure the cover on top of the pergola in the bad winds and a small plastic part had broken off. I contacted purple leaf who were very responsive and helpful. They sent me out spare parts in a matter of days. I definitely recommend this product and buying from them

Die Pergola wurde schnell geliefert. Eine Woche nach der Bestellung war sie auch hier. Die Verpackung war unbeschädigt. Leider haben zwei Pfosten dennoch im unteren Bereich Beulen siehe Fotos.

I read some of the reviews of this Pergola and hesitated over buying it but I am so glad I did.It was Very Well packaged with each component individually wrapped in protective material. No damage on arrrival. I don't understand other's comments on the Instructions as it came with a Full Glossy Assembly Manual which was Very well illustrated and provided it was followed carefully there were no Issues at all putting it all together. My Wife and I built the frame then we had a little help from her Sister to fit the Canopy.We are VERY Pleased with it and woould recommend to others.

Lots of reviews stating 2 hours to put together, not a chance. Great bit of kit every item marked so very easy to follow instructions. Some good advice take the complete box to the area you intent to install, to save a lot of back ache ideally have 2 benches (I used 2 patio tables) lay all items out and check in case of missing parts, you can put all parts together by oneself until you need to stand the frame up then it’s a 2 person process all very easy if you follow instructions closely.
