My biggest concern is it stitching through thick layers. It seems to struggle sometimes. But for anything that's not extreme, it's a very good solid machine. The only jamming problem I've had is using thick fabric when I didn't read the instructions about this. There is a black button on the zig zag foot which you have to push with your left hand while lowering the foot with you right hand. This locks the foot to the fabric.
