Midwest Hearth Air Conditioner & Refrigerator Coil Cleaning Brush

Works great! We live in Florida, where it's always damp and the inside of the AC units often gather quite a bit of dust, pollen, etc, on the metal grating behind the filter. We tested it by spraying the dust with Lysol and brushing it away while wet, and another AC unit while dry. It works better dry but makes a bit of a dusty mess that had to be vacuumed up afterwards. Either way, our AC units are much cleaner now, and are running more efficiently. We are buying a few more of these so each room has their own. I highly recommend them!

I was very surprised to see that this brush performed so well. Its hotter then blazes where i live. I decided i better check the central air unit out. The A coils were pretty dirty and I decided to order some cleaner and this brush. It works well and is really stiff. It wasnt just the dirt that was the issue it was the filters i had bought. They were too effiecient and were not letting enough air through. A few hours cleaning and replacing the restritive filters with filters less restrictive made a difference in the house temp of over ten degrees.. Last year at this time my ac was out and we sweated for a week while i awaited parts. The thing about this brush is it does not damage the coils. You still have to be careful not to brush it the wrong way. Cant beat it for the money. Love it.

This fin comb is the tool I needed to clean the coils on a brand new heat-pump. I had a basement remodel, and the heat-pump was installed before the mudding, sanding, and flooring. Of course, the contractors didn't cover it or clean as part of the job. When I turned the unit on, the smell of the toxins and other debris which collected on the coils was killer.It was very time consuming to clean the coils (I watched a How-to Youtube on properly clean a heat-pump. Heat-pumps should be serviced annually.), but it is now clean and free of toxic particulate matter blowing into the room.

Cleans the vents of the AC unit so there are no dust particals

I have a portable a/c the kind you use with the crinkle tube that goes in the window instead of the unit so you can use it in any room. The cooling coils are slight protected by a shell. I didn't wantvto take apart the shell so the brush didn't work the greatest for my situation. It did work well where I could get it in there. My dogs love getting brushed by it especially on their face. It cracks me up.

will never again pay for someone to clean the hvac

I was trying to use this for my semi-large window AC unit. The bristles are too thick to get between the fins. This isn't necessarily the products fault, it just isn't for my kind of AC.Good product if it fits what your using it for. It's sturdy. Just keep in mine that if you want to get in-between the fins you may want to look at a different tool.
