How far do they pull forward when stacked? Is it at least half the depth of the one below?

They will pull forward all the way. It's a balancing act for any rack stacked above. Pull too far and racks above will fall behind rack being pulled. When racks are placed close to wall the wall will offer support for racks on top to a certain point and keep them from falling over.

Is there a weight limit?

I don't know the weight limit, but use your common sense. This organizer is made from thin plastic and very light organizer. Just put small and light stuff. I use this organizer to hold clean bathroom towels in my bathroom.

How do you ensure the bottom one stays put? They sit on a wire rack. When stacked shelf is pulled, the bottom one comes out too

We set ours on carpet and they dont have any issues with movement. Maybe try a zip tie to hold it onto the wire shelf.

Will it be difficult to install?

The organizer was super easy to assemble, no instructions needed! It fits well in spaces where it can be inconspicuous. We used ours to store beverages and to make a space look more neat and tidy. This is useful for clearing clutter and organizing things.
