LICKIMAT Buddy Treat Mat , Assorted colors

The media could not be loaded. I have a large one of these for my Goldendoodle & she loves it...whether its spread with raw food(she is on a RAW diet) yoghurt, peamutt butter or her fave cheese spread, she does not stop til its all gone. When we bred her I decided to buy 1 of these for all the puppy packs for their new homes. It helos with boredom on puppies but it also encourages slow feeding. I kept a puppy from her litter & he is a slow eater like his mum with help from using this mat. I also bought one with suckers on for bathing & grooming purposes which helps so much when covered in their favourite spread.The only thing I dont like is cleaning them as even the dishwasher struggles to get in those little crevices. However ive found instead of washing straight away (yep my ocd does NOT like it but it learnt lol) leave it to dry then get a dry wash brush on it & it gets rid of excess then wash as normal after that.These are awesome & I would recommend to all. My girl had 9 puppies & all of them loved it & not 1 was chewed. Im doing the same with this current litter of Australian Australian Goldendoodles as I believe they are a must have for puppies & dogs big & small.Ive included a video of some of the pups from her last litter with a larger licki mat.

These lick mats are great to keep puppies entertained, especially puppies who hate bath time and need a little distraction. We found with a spread of peanut butter, it kept our dog preoccupied for around 20 minutes which was more than enough time.The only problem I have, is I find them really hard to clean all of the spread from the fiddly areas. Even after steeping it in hot water and scrubbing with a bristle brush there always seems to be bits of peanut butter stuck in the corners.Overall, these are worth it. Despite being a little time consuming to clean, it is worth it as it makes our lives easier when it comes to bathing.

Fantastic product - simple idea and cheap purchase = happy pup & doggy mama. When my pup hears Lickimat, her tail wags and she follows me around the kitchen trying to get up at the mat on the worktop. I put creamed cheese, tuna, sardines in tomato sauce, pate, plain low fat yoghurt, dog peamut butter or mashed banana on to the Lickimat. My pup dives in to her bed to enjoy 20 - 30 mins treat time. She ensures every nook and cranny is throughly cleaned. Not much for me to scrub after shes done. I bought a cheap pot brush to clean it with for the grooves on the mat. In summer you can load with a yoghurt etc and freeze to cool them down. The licking motion is supposed to calm your dog, so could be used during stormy weather or fireworks. Highly recommend buying the Buddy version as it's great for soft treats. The Soother version is better for runnier food like gravy but my girls not as fussed on that style of mat. Make sure you take it away when your dog or cats finished as it's easily chewed.

This keeps my dog occupied for ages as opposed to gulping down solid treats. I use specialistt liver paste and anything safe for my dog to eat that's spreadable. The negative is it's difficult to get100% clean as I can't get into all the corners even with an old toothbrush.

I'd never heard of this until my sister mentioned it over a week ago when a lady she works with recommended it, because she has one for her 2 Jack Russells and I'm so glad she did! I've been dying to try it since I received it, but I waited until now for the peamutt butter to turn up, because it got lost in transit, so purchased another. Well it's safe to say it's a massive hit! Our 14 week Jack Russell mixed with husky has been licking it for an hour, that's an hour where she hasn't been trying to chew me, or anything else around the house!!! This is a dog who is constantly picking things up whilst out walking and you'd swear we don't feed her properly, the way she seems so ravenous all the time, but this has kept her occupied and calm and I've only half covered the mat! As for keeping it clean, I don't think there's any issue there, as it's licked clean lol! It's made of a very strong silicone, so even IF she does chew it, it would take a good going to damage it! I can't recommend it enough.

This silicon 'buddy' mat is the best thing since sliced bread! I have 2 little ankle biters and this kept the 2 of them occupied for nearly an hour. Have had a second one as I always like a spare. This brand seems to be different to others I have seen on Amazon, being silicon it is flexible and shouldn't crack, it is easy to clean if you leave it to soak for a while then use the sink brush on it - I forgot and left the pate on overnight and it had hardened to rock the next day, but still was easy to clean. I haven't put mine in the dishwasher although it says you can but I find anything that is silicon does tend to warp with really hot water - best to clean it as I mentioned earlier.

Works great, but once my dog was finished with it he liked to have a chew, a sturdier version would be great for the dogs who shred ! Was difficult to clean as we spread (dog friendly) peanut butter on it and it wouldn’t come out without a long soak and big scrub - the dishwasher even struggled. Overall though it is a good product and would be great for you dog! I just wish they did a stronger version
