Fellowes CD Storage Unit, Holds 30 Discs + 18 on Top of CD Rack, Grey

I was pretty disappointed in the range of CD storage racks on offer……of which many have appalling reviews. I was looking for something compact and simple and this Fellowes product seem to fit that description and is also very modestly priced. Well I am impressed! It is simple neat and really does good job. I had sort of guessed/worked out that there was some sort of ejected system designed in to the unit, and indeed there is. back slot has, at the back a plastic leaf spring, that is easily depressed when inserting the CD which is then held under slight pressure against the raised lip at the front of each pair of guides. To release each individual CD you just push the front edge of the CD case upwards and this takes it above the raised lip and the leaf spring pushes it out by about 7mm, enough to then grip it in your fingers. Very clever and looks like it will continue to do the job for a long time. One criticism… Clearly Fellowes make this in a light grey and a black version; Amazon do not mention this even though the sales photos show both versions. What turned up was light grey. I was so impressed with the product that I have ordered a second one, however, I do not know what colour will turn up?? This is a relatively study product, certainly up to its job. It sits on a shelf or can be screwed to the wall; two keyhole slots are built in. A good storage solution and Very good value for money.

This is just what we needed for the kitchen as we keep a few CDs to play at odd times. It is just the right size, very sturdy and worth every penny. It arrived quickly and well packaged.

Needed storage in bookshelves for a lifetime collection of CDs. Picked this one, I admit, because it fitted the shelves I had bought, although I had to do without the storage on top of the unit. Bought this one as a single “trial” before buying any more. It has definitely been a success and I particularly like the clever little spring in each section which makes the CD pop out slightly when depressed and then press again to reverse. However, it must be said that I am 76, and I am not convinced that it would survive too long if used by kids or teenagers. In spite of this minor criticism I do intend to buy a few more of these clever little storage devices soon - once I have decided which of my collection I really cannot do without. The only problem now is what to do about all the Vynil! To sum up - good value for money and intend to buy at least 2 to 3 more.

Very neat and compact storage units The integral sprung unloading mechanism is particularly useful for retrieving disc cases. I originally bought two about a year ago and was so happy with them I recently bought two more. Very satisfied.

Excellent quality and excellent value for money - I highly recommend this product - which I will be buying again in the future - I wanted a product that looked modern - and that would " tidy up " my disarray of cd's - I also like the spring loaded feature - that clips the disc in place .

Great way to store CDs, it's well made, sturdy, a great size, excellent way to tidy up CDs in my Son's room and it is so good that I bought a 2nd one!

Good product. Well packaged and arrived quite quickly. Although spring loaded, not quite what I wanted as I already have another CD storage box (not the same make, can't reorder, product seems to have disappeared). In my original cd box, a disc can be inserted and held in place, when using, you can pull open the tray and the lid of the cd comes up and stays open, so you can take out the cd. But it is a good addition and I cannot criticise the product.

Ich habe mir das 1. Regal im Dezember 2015 gekauft und dafür knapp 35,- Euro bezahlt. Das Regal steht drei Jahre später immer noch und hat meine wachsende CD-Sammlung sicher aufbewahrt. Die wichtigen Elemente funktionieren einwandfrei. Die normalen CD-Hüllen passen gut in die Öffnungen, der Federmechanismus rastet gut ein und gibt die CDs auf leichten Druck wieder frei. Man kann alle CDs gut sehen. Eigentlich soll man oben senkrecht CDs einsetzen können, aber das habe ich nie hinbekommen. Auch kann ich ein zweites Regal nicht guten Gewissens auf das erste stellen. Das ganze wackelt bei mir dann doch zu sehr. Das eine ist kein Problem, weil ich oben drauf ohnehin nur die besonderen (größeren oder dünnen) Hüllen lege und so auch nicht befürchten muss, dass etwas raus fällt und mit dem anderen kann ich leben - einzeln stehen die Regale sicher. Daher von mir keine Abwertung. Das was ich haben wollte habe ich bekommen, das Regal hält lange Zeit und einsortiert sieht es ganz ok aus. Es gibt auch andere Farben, wenn man etwas sucht.
