FellowesCD Storage Unit, Holds 30 Discs + 18 on Top of CD Rack, Grey

I was pretty disappointed in the range of CD storage racks on offer……of which many have appalling reviews. I was looking for something compact and simple and this Fellowes product seem to fit that description and is also very modestly priced.Well I am impressed! It is simple neat and really does good job. I had sort of guessed/worked out that there was some sort of ejected system designed in to the unit, and indeed there is. back slot has, at the back a plastic leaf spring, that is easily depressed when inserting the CD which is then held under slight pressure against the raised lip at the front of each pair of guides. To release each individual CD you just push the front edge of the CD case upwards and this takes it above the raised lip and the leaf spring pushes it out by about 7mm, enough to then grip it in your fingers. Very clever and looks like it will continue to do the job for a long time.One criticism… Clearly Fellowes make this in a light grey and a black version; Amazon do not mention this even though the sales photos show both versions. What turned up was light grey. I was so impressed with the product that I have ordered a second one, however, I do not know what colour will turn up??This is a relatively study product, certainly up to its job. It sits on a shelf or can be screwed to the wall; two keyhole slots are built in.A good storage solution and Very good value for money.

Great Product.

Needed storage in bookshelves for a lifetime collection of CDs. Picked this one, I admit, because it fitted the shelves I had bought, although I had to do without the storage on top of the unit. Bought this one as a single “trial” before buying any more. It has definitely been a success and I particularly like the clever little spring in each section which makes the CD pop out slightly when depressed and then press again to reverse. However, it must be said that I am 76, and I am not convinced that it would survive too long if used by kids or teenagers. In spite of this minor criticism I do intend to buy a few more of these clever little storage devices soon - once I have decided which of my collection I really cannot do without. The only problem now is what to do about all the Vynil!To sum up - good value for money and intend to buy at least 2 to 3 more.

This is part of a Christmas gift for my husband who has been listening to music more often by purchasing selective CDs. It is the 3rd different type of CD holder but will match the LP holder he already has from the same company. Instead of black I decided to choose the grey one as it was a lot cheaper. It will be positioned in a wooden TV cabinet with open and shut doors next to the music system. I like the spring action and slots for extra CDs on top to stand vertically although I think he may place the CDs on top of each other in the horizontal position to hold more! Keeps the CDs tidy!

The media could not be loaded. Very neat and compact storage units The integral sprung unloading mechanism is particularly useful for retrieving disc cases. I originally bought two about a year ago and was so happy with them I recently bought two more. Very satisfied.

Not worth the price not very well made but does the job

Very happy with this item which is fairly priced and does a perfect job at storing standard sized CDs.

Good product. Well packaged and arrived quite quickly. Although spring loaded, not quite what I wanted as I already have another CD storage box (not the same make, can't reorder, product seems to have disappeared). In my original cd box, a disc can be inserted and held in place, when using, you can pull open the tray and the lid of the cd comes up and stays open, so you can take out the cd. But it is a good addition and I cannot criticise the product.
