Boy was i wrong.. I had to try another approach.. turn your wii off, turn it on.. open the SD drive on your wii and also the back of the wii remote. The new wii remote hit the red button on the back by the battery, and on the wii; hit the red button by the SD drive right after.. it connected the remotes. I almost returned my remotes for it not connecting until I did that.
