The media could not be loaded.  Loved the dish! Color was just what I wanted and Beautiful! Very disappointed with the lid not fitting properly. I cannot get it to close all the way. I think that is due to there not being anywhere for air to escape. Plus even with the lid not fitting, very difficult to open. Need two hands to pry the lid off!

The media could not be loaded.  The Ceramic Butter Dish by Vicrays, is a nice butter dish with seals to keep it fresh, but I wish it was a bit bigger and the knife stayed in the lid. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.Quality – Its nice quality ceramic and glaze that looks great on the counter and the bamboo lid with double seals, feel like it will hold up well. I would put it in the upper-middle range of the quality scale.Usability – It’s a very usable dish that is easy to use and clean. My only complaints would be that it’s just a bit too small to fit the butter bricks. I guess you could melt them to fit perfect, but I shouldn’t have too. Also, the butter knife falls out when you turn the lid over. It would have been nice for them to make it so it was slightly held when turned over.Overall, despite my dislikes, this has been a great butter dish that has been highly welcomed in the kitchen and get used and enjoyed almost daily. I own the matching utensil holder and assumed it would be the same color. I thought I had made a mistake when I opened it up because it looks black at first glance - not the cobalt blue in the picture. Aside from the color, it's a very nice butter dish. Depending on the butter you buy, you can fit a pound of butter in it - I happened to have the long sticks and they fit perfectly. The sealed lid fits well. I don't use the knife and could live without it.

This butter dish is super cute and very large. The ceramic part is nicely glazed and finished. The deep blue color is very beautiful and looks great with the bamboo lid. The knife on mine slightly sticks out because it doesn't fit quite right. The bamboo lid also has a chip in it. Neat designed butter dish.

This is a pretty sturdy butter container. I love the knife it comes with although it isn't snug, it falls off when you flip the lid upside down. It fits comfortably 2 sticks of butter.

I'm from Wisconsin and butter is a major food group here. This dish gives butter the respect it deserves. The bottom piece is hefty ceramic and the top is bamboo with a good seal. It isn't quite waterproof but almost (a few drips in the corners) -- it will keep my butter in good condition.The dish holds two quarter-pound American sticks easily, with just a little room to spare at the ends, and can hold a third if you slice the stick lengthwise. It doesn't hold a full pound of American stick butter. I wouldn't want to put more than half a pound in it because even I take a while to use that much quickly enough to not worry about it spoiling at room temperature. For me, this dish is a good size. A family might go through half a pound quicker than I do as a single person, and I might decide to keep it in the fridge between uses. If I do keep it in the fridge, it's just as well it's not 100% airtight - the air will lose a little volume as it cools.The knife fits in an indent in the top of the lid. There are two indents for your fingers so it's easy to pick the knife up. The knife sits loose on top so I take it off before opening the lid. I wipe or rinse off the knife after each use, except when I don't. ;-) The lid washes easily so sometimes I get lazy.I ordered the blue version and the one I received is a uniform very dark blue - definitely blue but a lot darker than the picture and no marbling with lighter blue.I didn't have a butter dish -- I go through it fast enough that it's been easier to leave it in the paper wrapper than to wash a dish every time I use up one stick. This dish holds enough to be worth washing the dish and knife every time I use up the butter, and it looks a lot better than my old slovenly ways. I'm very satisfied.The small butter knife that fits on the lid is an interesting idea, and I suspect I'll use the knife quite a bit.

Beautiful piece! Keeps butter sealed and fresh. Good value. Highly recommend. I am going to order my mom one as well
