I like the fiberglass handle for longevity.

What i dislike the absolute most about it is it takes hard work to operate it , what i like the most about it is my tractor has all new shoes(Tires) on it now. It has a very nice and durable fiberglass handle on it just incase my 62 year old eyes over shoots the target and i hit the rim it won't shatter in a hundred pieces like a wooden handle will do. Other then that what can I say its a tire hammer its only as smart as its operator. Amazon would had perfered that I take a picture of it but seriously who is going to be looking for a wedge hammer and not know what one looks like besides I am setting in my recliner and I am not getting out of until I feed the animals and go to bed!!!!

Best price I have found for a truck service tire hammer. The handle is long enough. I would recommend wrapping the shaft of the handle at the head end to protect the fiberglass from the inevitable poor strike.

I bought this hammer to break down tires on 17 inch rims. Light truck/passenger tires, used dish soap and water mixture to lubricate the tire, hit it with the hammer about six times and the tire came right off the bead. The hammer worked like it always has. I’ve also used this hammer on 11r22.5, 11r24.5,10.00x20 Dayton wheels and super singles. It’s always done the job. I would highly recommend.

It’s a Kentool, no doubt about it. Replaced the wood handled unsafe piece of garbage on my tire truck with this one after the head dislodged, nearly taking my own head with it.Should have quit being stubborn and ordered the Kentool tire hammer sooner. Just one more Kentool among many on my truck.You get what you pay for, there’s no substitute for quality.A cheap tool saves you nothing when it can’t finish a job.
