Blinking twice = locked mode - click 5 times!
I bought this flashlight after reading and watching hundreds of amazing reviews. It worked right away but as I was clicking through the modes the light started blinking and wouldn't work anymore. I figured it was dead, so I charged it over night. It worked again for a few minutes but after flipping through the modes it did the same blinking thing where nothing worked. I wrote a 1 star review. RoxyVon reached out to me. They asked me to give it another shot. I told them I have multiple lights from their company and just could not understand why this one had such terrible battery life. They were super nice and offered to send me a replacement. I received the replacement in the mail and started trying the settings again.THE SAME THING HAPPENED! The light blinked twice and wouldn't do anything else. At this point, I went back and watched reviews. Were these YouTubers paid to promote this thing? How can a light that last one minute be so recommended? I charged the light to full and ran the same test. Same results. At this point I started to think I'm doing something wrong. I took it off the charge and turned the light on with just two clicks and the light came on. It stayed on for twenty minutes. Clearly not a battery issue. So I changed through the modes again and it did the two blinks shut off again. I was going nuts! After googling so many different symptoms, I just googled RoxyVon A8 two blinks. And sure enough the user manual comes up. It states:Click the button five times to lock the flash light. You will see two blinks. Click five times again to unlock the flash light. It's a feature! A genius feature that locks the flashlight from being bumped. And I am an idiot!!! The reason it worked after charge is because plugging in a charger cable resets the lock just like clicking five times resets it.So, other than me being an idiot, this is an amazing light! I currently carry the A8 and the slightly bigger A28. They are both very similar. The A8 is unnoticed in a pocket whereas the A28 will create a slight bulge. The A28 is slightly more useful in that you can replace a full sized flashlight with it. The A8 though is so portable that you forget you are carrying it. You cannot go wrong with either, just please please read the manual to understand the modes. Don't be like me!

Handy little flashlight with powerful beam and versatile add-ons. My absolute favorite!
Compact, durable, and impressively bright: This RovyVon A8 flashlight is compact enough to keep on a keychain, but don’t let its size fool you, as the brightest setting is shockingly powerful, casting a strong beam that’s almost like a spotlight. It does get warm at high output, but that’s unsurprising given how much light it produces, and it has safety features built in to prevent it from operating long enough to overheat.Magnetic pocket clip and other add-ons: The flashlight comes with a reversible magnetic pocket clip, allowing for flexible mounting options. While the magnets are slightly weak, especially in the tail cap, this isn’t surprising given their small size. It’s still a convenient feature that gives you options for hands-free lighting in a pinch. The product thoughtfully has extras included, like a replacement rubber cap for the USB-C charging port.Versatile lighting options: With a wide range of light settings, this flashlight covers everything from a super bright beam to low-level, ambient light. The yellow side light is great as a taillight for when I'm walking or biking, while the red and blue flashing options can work as a safety signal or even a deterrent if needed. Having multiple lighting choices in one compact tool makes t a perfect all-in-one everyday carry for different situations.Reliable charging and usage: The USB-C charging is quick, and with light use, the battery holds up well. Though the single-button interface takes a bit to get used to with its clicks and long presses, reading the manual is helpful to fully understand the flashlight’s modes and prevent accidental lockouts.Overall impression: The RovyVon A8 delivers powerful, adaptable lighting in a portable design. It’s durable and packed with handy features, making it a reliable choice for everyday use or even safety applications. Just take a moment to familiarize yourself with the settings and modes to make the most of this well-designed, versatile flashlight.
