Bulma wishes to be caked up
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a thrilling and action-packed movie that revitalizes the Dragon Ball universe while staying true to the franchise’s roots. From the very start, it’s clear that this film is a celebration of everything fans love about Dragon Ball—epic battles, memorable characters, and high stakes—but it also brings something fresh to the table. The animation style is a standout feature. The decision to use a mix of 2D and 3D animation gives the film a unique visual feel that’s both modern and dynamic. The action sequences are beautifully choreographed, and the battle scenes are fast-paced, explosive, and visually stunning, making the movie feel as intense as any of the best Dragon Ball fights. One of the most exciting aspects of Super Hero is the focus on Gohan and Piccolo, two fan-favorite characters who get a much-deserved spotlight. Gohan's growth as a fighter and his journey as a protector of Earth are integral to the plot, and the film provides him with moments that remind fans why he’s one of the most beloved characters in the series. Piccolo, too, shines here, showcasing his enduring strength and cleverness. The story itself is engaging and provides a new threat in the form of the Red Ribbon Army, who’ve created powerful androids to challenge Earth’s defenders. The plot mixes humor with heart and action, maintaining the balance that Dragon Ball is known for. Plus, the return of some classic characters, like Android 18 and Krillin, adds a sense of continuity and nostalgia while pushing the narrative forward.Overall, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a fantastic addition to the Dragon Ball saga. It strikes a perfect balance between the series’ iconic battles and character-driven moments, while also introducing exciting new dynamics. Whether you're a long-time fan or a newcomer to the franchise, this movie is an absolute must-see. Highly recommended!

I love this movie!
Let’s start with the best part, my copy showed up a day before estimated delivery 😃Now for the movie. This is by far my favorite DB movie. The return of the red ribbon army, new androids, Goku and Vegeta are NOT in it. They are, but only for maybe 10min which is crazy. Taking them out of the equation allows Gohan and Piccolo to take the spotlight. Not only that, but you get more of a classic DB feel because nobody is so OP that you already know what is gonna happen. The CGI is odd to say the least. But it is beautifully done and by the time you get use to it the movie is picking up and taking off. Also, the fact it’s CGI’d slows down the fighting from typical flash movements to being able to actually see every martial arts move being preformed.SPOILER ALERT!!!!The transformations. This is probably my least favorite part of the movie. Gohan’s is very odd all the way around and Piccolo’s is just ok with a super original name…..if you don’t sense the sarcasm it’s not!As I said it is by far my favorite DB movie to date. If you’re a fan of the franchise this will definitely be worth a watch. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I have. If you’re not a fan idk why you’re even considering watching it.One last tip. Watch till the end for a very satisfying finish to the sparing match 😉

More of a comedy with really cool action scenes
So this is primarily a comedy than an action movie, this is no Broly movie. The fights are stylish with the new animation and gets better throughout the movie. That being said the animation may turn off people in the beginning- characters look flat compared to the effects and backgrounds. This changes as the movie goes but the lack of detail in the beginning is noticeable. 2d scenes look great and make you wonder why they didn’t stick with it. As for the story the dragon ball lore has been broken and badly written for a while now. Don’t expect deep insights, explanations. It’s always 2+2 = 5. Piccolo gets a chance to shine here and it’s almost a piccolo movie. Bottom line- this is not serious movie, it’s fun, funny and piccolo gets a little more love. If this sounds good than this movie is for you. The years of serious DBZ seem over so I don’t judge this to hard.

Great movie
A lot of the nerd types don't enjoy Super that much, though the original creator's style shines in it, which is why I like it. After all, it is his creation, so his involvement goes where ever he wants to take it.Having said that, the film is very fun for all dragon ball fans as it has a good call back to the original Dragon Ball. If you have bias for specifically Z or GT, then you will find this less favorable, especially since nostalgia greatly blinds a person. IIs it the best movie? No, but it is better then the vast majority (in my opinion the DBS: Broly movie is the best), but it is worth having in a collection, especially if you are a fan or collector of the show.
