Hot hot hot! The spice really picked up in this one which I loved but also the way the story developed was insane really got a deep look into the characters and fall in love with all these monsters and Blake is freaking epic how she handles it all love her for sure these books are definitely worth the read!

3.5 stars
The conclusion to the duet felt too long and not long enough at the same time. There was a ton of spice and the story wrapped up in a satisfying way, but there was something about the pacing that felt a little off to me.

Blake and her Monsters!
I might have enjoyed book 2 even more than the first book. It was hot and spicy, but there were some really sweet moments too. I do have some questions about mating bonds and if drinking blood at the end led to some sort of mating bond, but it was an interesting additive to the story. Tempest’s story was tragic and I’m happy he did what he did, but I still feel bad for Steele too. Everything happened for a reason and it needed to happen for them to get to where they were, but it was heartbreaking to read. I’m very happy with the way everything played out. I really enjoyed reading this duet ✨

good read but could have been better
Good story, but I wish things were explained better. Blake clearly has a lot of trauma from her parents not loving her so when these monsters come in to her life and don’t offer her much but pleasure, she seems more than happy to take it.Spoilers!!!In the second book, Blake finds out that Steele is her true mate. But all this time they never knew? And then, at the end of the book, they do a royal ceremony to introduce her as the queen, and then she forms a bond with the rest of them? But is it the same bond that her and Steele have? I have so many questions. The smut was ok. I felt like every time a good scene was about to happen it got cut off. The world building was good. The store itself was good. I feel like with more explanation, it could’ve all been great.

intense!!
If you thought the 3/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️ was the first book, this one was 4.5/5!!! Lots and lots of spice!!!I did not predict how it was going to go. The story line was phenomenal. The only thing I was ehhhhh about…You never find out why the city wasn’t being fed!!! Why did they starve????It would’ve made sense if they had to become mates since she’s human for the city to stop starving, or a number of other possibilities… maybe the 5 of them was the magic returning? Idk it left a hole in the story for me…Also I don’t mind pregnancy tropes… I kinda wish there was a 3 years later, etc where she was “bred” as they all imagined her..also, sevens monster and tempest showed the most disregard for her and then 360 there feelings… it would’ve been nice if they changed their mind after something extremely kind they did for him… it was jarring. They acted like they genuinely hated her one chapter and then opposite the next chapter…I really enjoyed the story otherwise…But the city starving thing flew over my head..

Something missing, but still loved it
I typed out a huge review and it refreshed and was all gone. So, I guess I wasn't meant to write an in depth review. This probably could have been a 5✨ if character development was better on the FMC. Also, if some things made more sense.Blake was list drunk and a weak lead character for most of the book. She never holds any of them accountable for ignoring her, leaving her out, and hurting her. As soon as they sex her up, it is like all is forgiven. She needed to be more.Creed was arrogant and became the King he had been all along. Ignoring the truth because it was easier to do so.Steel was too passive and it didn't make sense why he waited until the last possible moment to request the Red Challenge. He could have done that in book one. Also, what happens to him and Blake is just odd as can be. Is it because they are in person and not in a dream that it is able to happen? They were in person in the human world and nothing happened. It just left some questions as to why now? Also, he was all, it's water under the bridge after the truth comes out. Ummm, why? He deserved better and should have held a more powerful role in their bond.Seven, poor guy. Fighting his own demons and hurting Blake by withdrawing from her to protect her. Redeems himself when George comes forward and claims her and shows her everything. When George and Seven team up 😍🥵.Ash, my sweet sweet Ash. Love him and his love for her. Love when he is one of the first to tell her he wants to breed her. I also love his constant need to know more about humans for her. I laugh so much at their conversations. He is amazing and was underrated in the book. Not going to lie, I had hoped he was a donded mate to Blake. He deserved a mate bond.Tempest, so much to unpack there. Learning his backstory was something else. He made me so angry. I cannot get into it without spoilers, but what he did, I don't know how he was so easily forgiven. He didn't just do one thing, he did multiple things. One of which felt so wrong, that as I was reading it, I felt sick. Steel was treated horribly for so long and it was just like it was a minor infraction and they moved on to sex like it was nothing. I felt he wasn't held to any standard. Was a bit disappointed. I know he was willing to die and apologized, but punishment was needed, not group sex.Over all, I loved the books. The smut was 🥵🌶️. I understand why there was so much of it, but at times it felt it overshadowed the plot and this book moved so fast, that the smut scenes started to take away from the awesome plot. That is why I gave it 4✨ instead of 5. The bonus context was amazing and I needed so much more of that.

Monsters, dark past, SPICE, love, hurt, betrayal, etc....it has all the goodies
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️After reading Monster's Temptation, I immediately started Monster's Obsession and it did not disappoint. The storyline had me captivated from the beginning of book 1 to the end of book 2. The modern day references made it relatable and easily connected to the characters, feeling their emotions right alongside them. Some of the details from the first book were almost too relatable with Blake and her backstory but it only added to feelings involved.I definitely recommend this series, Mila Young is already one of my favs and now I'm adding C.R. Jane to my monster author love 🖤

Must Read
I’m going too miss these monsters. All of Blake’s men have issues and we learn more about what happened to them. From lies, betrayal, lust to love this book will have you hooked. The sex was off the charts hot (yes there is a-lot of sex but if you read it you know why) Another amazing read that I wish didn’t have too end. I’m so excited that there will be a spin off.
