Ok, so here's everything you need to know about this bar. I bought this easy curl bar based on the reviews, and I was not disappointed! The bar is sturdy and well made, the knurling is perfect (not too shallow and not too aggressive), and the bar was packaged well, so it arrived in great condition. The bar does appear to be painted and not powder coated. The black color appears to be a gloss black, so in case the paint ever does chip, I recommend buying a can of gloss black spray paint, spraying a little in the cap, and using a little paintbrush to touch it up (this is what I did for a trap bar of the same color that I ordered on Amazon that came a little beat up when I got it, and it worked great, you can't even tell where it was touched up). I ordered this specific bar because the grips appeared to be at the proper angles to be the most ergonomic (which a lot of the other bars I saw weren't), and when I received the bar, this was accurate (I have wrist issues, and this bar is very comfortable and easy on the wrists). I saw some reviews complaining that the collars loosen up on their own, but the collars I received have rubber gaskets on them which prevent the collars from loosening, so it looks like they updated the design. The threading is well machined, and the collars spin on and off very easily, and the bar diameter is accurate, so the weight plates slide on and off easily without excessive play. I've been getting massive pumps with this bar. Buy it, you won't regret it! Also, if Amazon wants to make me a Vine Reviewer, I would absolutely like to join (hintidy-hint-hint ;)

Perfect bar and quality and super cheap

Mine came with all the pieces and the pieces work fine. The knurling is good. I haven't experienced spinning loose of the collars but I just got it and only used it a few times.That's pretty common though with those spin collars, I have a set of dumbbells with them and they loosen easily in use, probably because the dumbbells are subjected to more movement. The collars for those fit the easy curl bar so I can double up if needed.

The bar is well made and easy to grip. As mentioned in other reviews, the locker collar loose easily.

Im taller guy with longer arms. This bar provides comfortable grips in the curving and the way its spaced out. Curves are not too aggressive and feels very neutral. Knurling is somewhere in the middle, smooth but with some grip. This is 1 inch bar and it should fit all 1 inch plates, it fits my 1.15 plates with some visible slight space in between. Heavy duty collars that have one sided rubber ring and lock tight against the plates. Solid bar with quality surface finish at a great value. The bar looks exactly the same as pictured. Arrived well packaged with both collars securely wrapped and taped inside the box.

I wanted a bar that was cheap and could hold the 1 inch plates I already had so I bought this. I expected it to feel cheap but it's surprisingly sturdy. The bar itself is pretty weighty and feel robust. It's gnurled and doesn't slip in my hands. The lock collars don't come loose at all. And the curves are in the perfect spots for my hands.I just wanted something I could keep in my office and put some of my unused dumbell weights on to curl between meetings. For the price, this was a steal.

Exactly what I expected. Arrived a day early as well.
