They do exactly what they are suppose to do. They keep my Prosecco bubbly!I saw some reviews before i bought these saying they fell apart/broke easily, and even though mine have been great and haven't broke, i think it i wasn't so gentle with them (or dropped them a few too many times onto a hard surface) they would break easier than i would like.

Far better than the old school ones that go in the bottle with the lever to lock as they rarely seal. Only issue we have had is where the bottle rim (the one on the lower part of the neck where it grips) is curved so it’s a bit precarious to fit.

This champagne stopper does not keep the fizz in champagne.I used this champagne stopper on a bottle of champagne and a few days later when I went to finish of that bottle of champagne all the fizz had gone out of it.If you open a bottle of champagne it will naturally keep its fizz for a couple of days,so finish of that bottle of champagne in that time.Don't bother wasting your money on this product it doesn't work.

Bought this product to replace a same design but well finished one I have used for 15 years. The only thing wrong with the old one was the ‘washer’ that seals onto the top opening of the bottle to retain the fizz, had gone rock hard - so didn’t seal. Happily the pliable washer on the new one was easily moved from the new one onto the old, which is now not only good as new but better than new. The new one has vicious sharp edges that will require a lot tricky work to smooth out.The sharp edges are caused by using a worn out tool to stamp the lift up wing parts out of sheet metal. I bought this to replace an old champagne stopper on which the rubber/plastic stopper had perished.The quality of this new one was nothing like the old one.The edges of this stopper were so sharp - I decided that I was likely to cut myself.I throw them away.I should have returned then for a refund - ah well!

Great for the first couple of uses, however third time use- it just doesn’t stay on. First one flew up in the air and almost hit me in the eye and second one later refused to even stay on. Both went to bin.

My last sparkling wine stopper ceased working and that was a disaster - we had to finish off the bottle... However, now having two very neat and efficient stoppers has proved great - there's no doubt that putting a proper stopper on prosecco and champagne really keeps them fresh.
