It's nice and sturdy, and far better than the original seat that came with the toilet. It was easy to fit with good Instructions. It fits my toilet perfectly, (but please check your toilet with the measurements given in their description). It's soft close action is amazingly good for the price. I love the quick release buttons for cleaning underneath it. And I love the fact that the fittings are all fixable from above. To get the old one off, I had to do a 2 day (pre removal) contortionist course with Houdini's flexibility coach. A brilliant purchase / upgrade for the price. Review: Easy installation - I was quite impressed with the quality of the toilet seat, it feels well made and like it will last. It is heavier than my original toilet seat but the soft close function still works well and while it was a little larger than my old toilet seat it still fits well. The fitting was nice and simple and once fitted can be easily removed with the push of 2 buttons to aid cleaning. The only drawback is the actual fittings don't feel as substantial as my original fittings however I don't think this will pose any issues and the seat once installed feels sturdy and stable and has no movement in it. Design fault?** A: Mine fitted perfectly. Like most seats had to move the mountings round a bit to get cental but it was fine. Very happy with it. **Q: Does anyone know if this will fit a vitra s50 toilet?** A: It all depends on what you class as fit. It does fit, but there’s two issues. Firstly the screws provided to secure the seat fixings are too long. If you use these with force it could crack the toilet! I had to cut the screws down which was tiresome. Secondly the seats internal shape isn’t D-shaped like the pan- it’s round, so it exposes the back of the toilet bowl which doesn’t look great. Overall for the price it’s ok and looks good, but after fitting I did have some regret in not just buying the Vitra seat for £60. **Q: Is it cold to sit upon** A: It’s plastic, so its temperature is determined by your heating. If your bathroom is warm, the seat will be warm, if it’s cold, the seat will be too. Having said that, it doesn’t take very long to warm up when sat upon. **Q: Are the seat holes wide enough to fit over existing bolts about 1cm (10mm) in diameter? As soon as we unpacked my husband said it felt a good weight and quality. He was able to fit it in minutes and it fit perfectly. It looks really good and clean looking a nice bright white.I like the fact that it is easily removed for cleaning and the self closing works great and closes very quietly.
