Really easy to install but large bit required. You would need a corded drill really. I used my SRS drill. Did the whole job in less than an hour. Ideally for internal damp roofing but can be used externally as I did.

Used these to treat a rising damp issue. Pretty quick to install. Need a 12mm masonry drill bit to drill the hole in the masonry layer, then use the dryrod hole clearing tool which gets out loads of debris and then slot the rod into place. Easy fit with the 12mm hole, just need to check with drill bit or hole clearing tool that all debris is out at the back as the debris, if crumbly, can block the back of the hole making it impossible to put the rod in all the way. Then just put some mortar over the hole and job done. Best to use gloves as the rods are a little moist, and the instructions do recommend this based on possible irritation from the ingredients. I bought the cutting tool too, which cuts the rods easy, maybe a sharp stanley knife would also do this but the cutter works a treat. Now it is a case of waiting for the chemicals to penetrate the mortar layer but am hopeful from all the online reviews and users that it will do the job once the rods are activated. Really simple job and really pleased. Would buy and use again.

Brought these due to a damp problem within a bay window, after letting the wall dry completely. Put these in left a week and then used dryzone plaster. Area dry and no concerns would recommend for sure

This system is ace, it's easy to do, very quick and effective and so much cheaper than rebuilding a D.P.C. The rods are better than the cream for older buildings as the cream runs away and you loose the important chemicals into your foundations.

I bought this pack a couple of months ago. I had rising damp in both external and internal walls, most of which had already been treated at some time in the past, and re-rendered with sand & cement. I suspect that part of the problem was that in many places, the render had been applied right down to the quarry tile floor, which is a bad idea. I knocked off the first four inches of plaster/render everywhere, which exposed the lowest mortar bed. I firstly chopped all the rods in half, to suit the required depth for single-brick walls and drilled the holes in the mortar bed to the required depth. The sticks don't slide in easily, due to the ribs on them, but clearly that's intention and keeps them firmly in place. Some of them stuck out a little, but it doesn't seem to matter. All in all, it was a very quick process with no mess, (other than the mortar that was drilled out), and no waste. A couple of months on, the whole house has been re-skimmed and the walls are 100% dry. It is possibly a more expensive solution than the cream, but when the lack of waste is factored in, there's probably nothing in it.

Excellent product, used in a victorian 1906 house. Silicon injection did not work, re-plastering did not work, covering with concrete plaster made the damp wall worse. These rods started to work immediately, and drained the bricks over a meter high with damp.

Ovviamente per testare la sua efficacia ci vorrà del tempo, ovvero dimostrare nel corso dei prossimi mesi che funziona nel garantire una barriera invalicabile all'umidità di risalita nel muro, premesso che l'inserimento nei muri delle candelette è stato eseguito esattamente come da istruzioni. Il tempo darà il suo responso. Io sono fiducioso. L'utilizzo del prodotto facile e pratico. Tuttavia la punta prevista di diametro 12 mm si è dimostrata di misura troppo precisa e con poca tolleranza per un inserimento spesso a fatica delle candelette, causa residui di materiale di foratura nel foro che, ne lo sgarzino cilindrico fornito, ne una potete aspirazione del foro é riuscito a eliminare totalmente. La difficoltà è aumentata nell'uso in muri di spessore 45mm per i quali si sono inserite due candelette nel foro + uno spezzone a misura, facilmente tagliato con lo strumento fornito. In questa situazione una punta di diametro 13 mm, ovviamente più lunga di quella da 12 fornita, adatta, come lo sgarzino, solo per muri di spessore max 20 mm, si è dimostrata più opportuna. In ogni caso le candelette scorrevano nel foro aderendo ad esso, ma senza la necessità di uno sforzo eccessivo, come invece avveniva con diametro 12mm. Dove per il muro da 45mm si è eseguito un foro da 12mm per riuscire a riempire il foro con le due candelette, la prima inserita è stata leggermente appuntita nella parte d'ingresso per evitare che poco prima di arrivare presso il fondo del foro, non si fermasse per eccessivo attrito nel foro, trascinandosi anche polvere residua di foratura, eludendo la possibilità di inesire la seconda o lo spezzone finale. In ogni caso, prodotto di veloce e facile utilizzo, nell'attività di ristrutturazione che riguarda stanze prive di cantina sottostante per le quali si è realizzato un sottostante vespaio areato per impedire umidità di risalita sul pavimento. Con questo prodotto si è vuole assicurare anche una barriera anti umidità di risalita nei muri perimetrali delle stanze. Tutto qui!
