Berkley Powerbait Select Glitter Trout Bait, 642-1004934, Worm Pearl, 50 g

I've always gone Trout fishing with worms and maggots. When I got back into the sport I didn't seem to be catching very much and one of the guys working at the loch recommended this stuff. It really made a difference. I've got a few colours now and some days one colour works better than another but it always outfishes worms. I've heard however, and not sure if this is true, that this works for stocked trout but wild trout turn will turn their nose up at it. The loch I fish at is stocked trout and it works fine for me.

At the moment, I have yet to have a successful catch with this stuff. Our last fishing day between 2 of us we nearly used the full 50g tub. We tried various fishing methods and caught nothing. The guy fishing about 20m down the bank from us was using the same stuff and he caught 4 fish in an hour! I'm thinking we were in the wrong spot as it was working for this other guy. One thing I will say is, the powerbait is easy enough to work with and chatting to a few people, there are different ways to use it, with or without bait, single or triple hooks mixed with different bait. It has a great track record. I just need to get it working for me. Will buy again and hope I get a better fishing spot next time.

I have gave this stuff the benefit of the doubt and used it the last 3 fishing trips. Each time I have caught on the fly and spinning but not a single fish baiting. It is hard to mould and stay on the hook to start with and I find it often comes off during casting. When I do get it to stay on the fish do not seem to be interested in it. Before anyone says are you trying for wild or stocked fisheries, I have been to both just to see if it works. For me this product doesn't deliver.

This arrived within the week and I have caught many trout on it including this big guy pictured. The flavour is a popular one with trout. Well worth it.

Good price and does what it says on the tin

Superb product! Caught my limit in record time (8 stunning specimens at Hanningfield reservoir) in late October 2018.Stays on the hook and floats perfectly above the weeds. Highly recommend. 5 stars!

Great for catching trout I used this product in America for 27 years never let me down I have fished in alaska montana arizona florida and new York on the Hudson and every time catch fish. Highley recommended
