I bought these because I needed a quick breakfast option. I take medication in the morning that needs to be taken with food, but I struggle with most breakfast bars and cereals as they tend to be very sugary. I wanted something simple, savoury, and easy to grab first thing. These worked well for that. When you open the pack there’s a strong salt and cider vinegar scent, and the flavour definitely delivers on that. It’s nice and sharp, closer to a good salt and vinegar crisp than the mild flavour you sometimes get with rice cakes. Although I compare them to rice cakes, the texture is actually a bit different as these are made from lentils and peas. I personally prefer the texture - they’re light with a good crunch and feel a bit more substantial. They’re not especially filling if eaten on their own, but they would definitely hold up well to toppings if you wanted something more substantial. For my purposes, they were perfect as a light breakfast. I usually have three cakes (around 120 kcal total), which was just enough to take medication without feeling too heavy first thing in the morning. Each cake also has about 2.2 g of protein, which is higher than standard rice cakes. A couple of small downsides: the edges can be a little crumbly if the pack gets knocked around, and the cakes go soft fairly quickly if the packet isn’t sealed well. Using a good bag clip helps keep them fresh and crunchy. They also don’t last very long if you’re eating them regularly. I go through a pack roughly each week, and they are a bit more expensive than basic supermarket rice cakes. If you're looking for a snack replacement I’m not sure they would completely replace crisps (but then I’m a bit of a crisp fan), and calorie-wise the saving isn’t huge if you eat several. However, they’re genuinely tasty in their own right rather than just being a “healthier alternative”. Overall these are a good option if you want a savoury, crunchy snack with a strong salt and vinegar flavour, and I’d happily buy them again.

Very tasy salt and vinegar though I also made a nice tomato sauce to cover them as they are a little dry on their own. Good value and no fat .

I did not like the taste and I do not think it’s suitable for dieters or vegan so won’t order again. Sorry but I threw most of it out.

The flavour of these is the best, its the strongest and most flavorful sea salt & cider vinegar flavoured snack on the market 😋😁 With a burst of sour acidity, from the cider vinegar, and a crisp apple side flavour, that punches through, with just the right salty profile, the only down side is they can't really be used, as a bar snack, the reason is, because they can make a mess on opening if they've broken during transit, you could end up with crumbs everywhere, I'd like to see a small bitesize version that I can take out as a bar snack in a crisp style packet, that's less likely to get crumbs everywhere on opening, and has the easy bitesize pieces, for sharing amongst friends 😊 I'll echo others sentiments in the flavour profile, it's somewhere reminiscent of between Sea Salt and Vinegar REAL Crisps and Pickled Onion Monster Munch, and theyre both heakthy, and gluten free 😋 I tried a bundle if other crisp snacks that are supposed to have the same flavour, but none come close to these with they're beautiful moreish flavour, please Kallo make me a snack sized version 😁🙏🏻 and Thanks 😊 😋😋😋

The veggie cakes taste decent and offer a reasonable alternative for those looking for a healthier snack option. However, when compared to other brands like Snack A Jacks, they fall a bit short in terms of flavor. While they are still enjoyable, they lack the rich, bold taste that Snack A Jacks provide. If you’re used to the more flavorful varieties from other brands, these might feel a bit plain, but they still make for a decent snack if you’re looking for something lighter or more nutritious. Overall, they’re a good choice if you’re prioritizing health over taste.
