Good, short philosophical analysis
I found this to be an excellent analysis of the situation. It is written early on in the pandemic, it is short and in many ways incomplete, but Levy catches the key points that matter, and if you're an open minded reader and haven't lost your mind in the current hysteria, his book leaves you with a lot to think about and explore. It encouraged me to read Agamben's Homo Sacer for example, something I'll never regret. The title is not correct in the English translation however. The correct translation is "The virus that drives us into madness", or something like that.

Doesn't really add anything to the discussion.
The preface neatly sums up the questions that anyone who has given any thought to the pandemic response will have.I was hoping for some insight into the politics, economic thought, and health rational behind shutting down the world. Instead the book contains a rambling series of essays describing in unnecessarily convoluted, obtuse, and opaque ways how different individuals and groups have responded to the pandemic. For anyone who can't think for themselves but is a good reader ... this book might be worth reading.I think this book is mainly an opportunist attempt to cash in on the pandemic without challenging any of the standard media dogma.

Pensive reflections on Covid
BHL at his best. Great causal analysis and as ever the deeper thoughts make you reflect on the whole pandemic and our reactions to it. Even although it's a long way from over, he has the sagesse to point out the possibile pathways on the ways forward, to how changes will occur to our way of living. A short and refreshing read, elegantly written ( well translated) and well worth the cash.

What are we doing?
A fine rage against the dying of the night as we give all up to the pandemic and leave the poorest with nothing. What about Russia and China? China the source of this but is using it shut down opposition in Hong Kong and continue its final solution against the Uighurs. What will come out of this new world we are facing with the fool on the hill helping the decline of human rights, the rule of law etc. Must read before we have to start saying #NeverAgain about now.

A bit of a rant
Some good stuff but a bit self-indulgent.
